Oh how the fortunes of the Knicks have changed
Our guy is now the man and everybody wants to rub elbows with him
Nice thing that Jalen is so low key and down to earth. It's a good look to have a leader with some salt of the earth in him. That he came from an NBA background makes his non-diva vibe all the more impressive.

Brunson continues to be the Linsanity that we all were starving for.
However... Justin Beiber is terrible (musically).

Nice. Now, let’s get that chip !!!!
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

I'm glad someone finally asked about Brunson having a black eye like every other week
Josh Hart being a hoarder is hilarious to me

Fallon: did you use those quotes to motivate you?
JB: I just try to be the best version of myself that I can.
Also
Fallon: what's the name of your charity?
JB: The Second Round

It's ok Jalen. This is New York. Let the hate fuel you.
It's an interesting dynamic. He's basketbal royalty but his dad was also at the bottom of the NBA barrel.

Humility aside, Jalen does stoke a chip on the shoulder as part of his edge.
Where, when and how he shows it is mostly done in how he plays the game, but you get occasional glimpses when he roars after a big play.
His competitive streak and toughness are his core leadership attributes that allows him to lead by by example and let his play do most of the talking. Just as one should want from their top dog.
But you know if something needs to be said, he will say it. He'll tell Thibs whats up if need be. He has that clout now.
We had a guy like that once. His name was Willis Reed.

Re: Jalen Brunson on Jimmy Fallon
I'll say it now
I'll take Brunson over Doncic anytime
Luka is a genius, but Brunson is everything else that Luka is not
I prioritize winning and to me Brunson is that guy who can take you to the mountaintop
Luka is a clutch dog in his own right and it is not fair to judge him based on his roster now, but I believe in Brunson's ability to lead a team in a way I will never believe is possible from a guy like Luka
Truth is you're going to get similar point production from either guy so pick your poison. I would not swap Brunson for Luka

Linsanity wasn’t even sustainable. I think we know that
This is actually real

If he wasn't asian it would have been...
Brunson has a really diverse offensive package, plays with high IQ and uses change of pace VERY well. He is a different animal.
Having said that... the difference between Lin and someone like Trae Young is minimal.

My favorite part is when Jimmy asked him if he'd bring the Larry O'Brien trophy to the show WHEN the Knicks win the title. Just imagine...

Gonna go with Luka here, he is just a demon on offense and can be unstoppable. Brunson is definitely a beast but Doncic is on an MVP level where I have Brunson slightly lower. With Luka in place of Brunson we’d be looking at a title this year, with Brunson we may be close but need another move to get there. Personality wise I much prefer humble Brunson than complaining Luka, Brunson is very easy to be a fan of.

luka is the more talented offensive player for sure but i think a lot of our winningness owes to brunson as captain

That sounds right. Both can carry a team but Brunson seems more apt to motivate which you need with a mid supporting cast. Not that Luka hasn’t carried bad teams but I saw some “woe is me” last season and they tanked.
