This team will probably not win it all. It's still missing one piece. Which star player can potentially try to force a trade to the Knicks? The team is set in the 1-3 positions so it has to be someone in 4-5. Maybe Embiid? KD? AD? Lebron?

Not sure that's the case though. Imagine a healthy JR in there....I'd be pretty confident we beat the Pacers in 5 and take down Boston as well. I don't think in the east anybody could compete with Mitch/IHart/Randle/Precious/OG/Hart frontline. And then you have Brunson, DD, and Deuce in the backcourt. To me that's a title winner already.

Embiid is just way too injury prone despite his greatness and everything. The Lakers are said to keep Lebron and AD around. The Suns seemingly want to add to their team, not dismantle it.

The team went 16-2 in january and absolutely dismantled the opposition, including Denver and Philly (both 40point wins). I have been calling for trades in the past as well, but at this point it may just be the best to roll it back and hope for a healthy postseason run. Obviously if some star player becomes opportunitistically available you can always entertain it, but I really don't see it right now. The team as of right now is too good, too close, great chemistry...where you really just tinker with that if that potential deal was a no brainer. Keep in mind the way JR was playing prior to his injury was the best in his entire career and he played exactly the way we needed him to play. If you plan on trading him you better get a really good deal back.

We're good. We only need to get healthy.

Keep in mind we are 24-5 since the OG trade. And that's with JR missing most of those games. Out of those 29 games 20 games were against playoff/play-in teams, where we went 15-5. This is not something that you break up easily.

We do have 2 FRPs coming up though and need to make a decision on them. Are we going to draft or are we going to punt or package them for some player? I think if any move happens it will be around draft day with the picks + Bojan's contract.

I'd love to get rid of KD, but you have a good thing going. Don't do it.

Embiid, AD etc. are just too injury prone. I wouldn't touch them. We already have a core player that is injury prone in OG, I wouldn't add to that. I'd probably look at a quality SF/PF to backup Randle and OG and that can be had at a reasonable price so we can load manage everybody through the season (Jerami Grant level player). A two way player that can shoot and slash and fits in etc.

I think our recent playoff runs and the atmosphere and everything has players viewing the Knicks differently now.

I criticized Leon a lot in the past but it looks I was wrong. So essentially I'm going to trust his judgement in whatever he does....

I don't think the Suns can afford to throw in the towel either. Dallas can be the example of a team that can take it to the next level with the right additions. You have all the scoring in the world, need to add a couple strong defending role players and the whole outlook may change.

I think that was due to the Murray trade talks, not AD.

Essentially you have Brunson, McBride, DD, Hart, OG, Mitch/IHart who all seem to be off limits. I find any trade scenario involving Randle to be highly unlikely as well. So you could potentially package Bojan, maybe Precious and 3-4 picks, but it wouldn't get you a superstar. You'd be talking high end role player here.

Also, unless it's for a superstar return I do not trade Randle.

Brunson/OG/Randle + another all star level talent will win the East.
