Def kills the mood a bit if we are losing iHart. I wonder what their plan is at center bc we obviously can't rely on Mitch.

Get used to this. The Knicks don’t have roster flexibility for the foreseeable future

Clingan drops to #6.

Can we work a deal out?

Charlotte fan here.

I was thinking salary relief and #6 pick + Dallas future 1st for Randle.

We’re keeping OG
We’re keeping IHart
We’re keeping Thibs
We’re keeping Precious
We may even keep Burks

We’re going into the third apron. Dolan is all in.

The following teams have cap space to go after Hartenstein

Detroit Pistons: $64 million
Philadelphia 76ers: $55 million
Orlando Magic: $49 million
Utah Jazz: $38 million
Oklahoma City Thunder: $35 million
San Antonio Spurs: $21 million

1) Detroit - Their starting Center is Duren. They just paid Cade. They probably won’t pay Hartenstein big money to be a backup big

2) Philadelphia - They’re going big fishing hunting and Embiid is making big money at C

3) Orlando - This team is a possibility if they don’t believe in Wendell Carter Jr.

4) Utah - They have Walker Kessler

5) OKC - They have to resign their guys soon and can’t have Hartenstein eating up cap space.

6) San Antonio - Webanyama

Im not sure which of these teams will throw more than 20 million at Hartenstein. I think he ends up coming back

Can we still sign someone to the MLE?? If yes then sign Jonas Valanciunas....durable and still gives you a double double....

losing ihart actually gives them a bit more flexibility. unless you're referring to not having draft capital for trades?

a cap expert can correct me but if we don't resign i-hart but sign OG to like 40 per - do we then have the full MLE available?

NYK free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein is expected to be a top target for several opposing teams in free agency. With the offers that Hartenstein is expected to command on open market, it’s become increasingly unlikely that NYK will be able to retain Hartenstein, per SNY sources

This is not news. We knew some other team could pay him more. But the only threat was OKC. The other suitors are Detriot, Charlotte,.
He's not going to Detroit or Charlotte..no way no how.

It's between us and OKC. OKC could throw a boatload at him but they are unlikely to offer more than a 2 year contract. Because they have to resign their own players. In addition they just traded for Caruso ...who'll need to get paid in a year.

So likely it will be our 4 year offer versus their offer. Before this Begley regurgitation it was believed Ihart would resign. Nothing has changed. Nothing except we have gotten even better as a team. This is FAKE news.I think Ihart will stay.

OK so now I get it. It's either Mitch or Ihart ...to avoid the 2nd apron.

I would be all over that

Brunson
Donte
Mikal
OG
Clingan

Nasty work

To me, it’s either between the Knicks, OKC or the Magic.

I actually think Orlando is the only real threat. I looked at OKC's cap situation. Two years from now Williams and Holmgreen will be due for extensions....I think it is fair to assume both will get at least around 30mill. With SGA on the books at 41mill. already you'd have around 100mill. committed to these 3 guys. Caruso is likely going to get around 15mill. as well. Dortz is a team option at 17mill. I simply do not see them comitting 20+ mill. on Hartenstein. I think they'll be looking at Center option that they can get for the MLE or less.
