Did some wheeling and dealing to get here but I’m pretty satisfied with this draft.

Hukporti plays for my Australian team, i saw him live probably 6 or 7 times this last season, he can absoloutey play, he more than matched No.2 pick Alex Sarr. Good, mature frame for a 22 year old, agressive and a terrific rebounder. I'm so happy for him.

What are the CBA rules about signing these guys and then trading them? Do they have to wait 6 months?

We really walked away with this with 4 interesting players and some future 2nds and some cash. Hopefully all these guys play in the summer league and maybe Rokas comes back too

It was an amazing day of trading. Let's just take the journey of Pick 51. I'm not sure from whence it came but on June 26th, 2024 it started its draft night journey in the hands of the Washington Wizards. The Knicks acquired Pick 51 as part of the trade down from 24 to 26, traded it to the Suns for a future 2nd from the Celtics, traded for it AGAIN by trading Pick 40 (the Knicks also received Pick 56), and then ultimately traded it to the Mavericks who picked some guy that will probably never have an NBA contract. And that was just the tip of the iceberg on a great afternoon quiet quitting work.

I'm so glad.
We just kept trading

Down and for future picks. But then we also traded 3 future 2nds for
Tina Kotek Tyler Kolek at 34. Every time we came up and thought we had a guy we actually didn't. Finally, when we had Pick 56, NBA.com was reporting that it had been traded again but we actually kept it and drafted a 4 year senior whose stock dropped due to injury. I've never been so entertained by the 2nd round. I only followed ours but everyone else was trading too.
There was also a whole Bronny thing going on but I was Twitter viewing and ignored it. He's playing with his dad! Pretty cool.

maybe in a different draft i’d have issue with what we did but this was absolutely a draft where trying your hand with multiple 2nds doesn’t really fall off from making selection with a late first rounder

He's a 5 for sure, a banger.

CAPtivating.
Besides being entertained, what's your take on the players we drafted?
