Warriors just waived Chris Paul, making him a UFA. Is he worth a shot at the MLE ?

Perfect backup for Brunson and to lead the second unit.

Would he come here ? I think he heads to LA

Ppl shot it down when I brought it up a few days ago. They’ll celebrate it should it happen. Rinse repeat.

CP3 for the vet min? :D

Only for the veteran minimum... he is getting paid 35M from the Warriors regardless...

Tobias Harris for the MLE

Trade Mitch and a pick for Carter

Dont resign Hart

Randle / Carter / Drummond
Anunoby / Harris / Achiuwa
Bridges / Hart / Dadiet
Donte/ Deuce / Burks
Brunson / Paul / Kolek

He's one of the best players you could get for the vet min

Plus, he's guaranteed to miss 25 games a year, so you can still keep Deuce in the rotation or work in Kolek if he's any good.

His $30 million is not guaranteed if he is waived, right?

I'd rather him than Lowry!

I was for this before we drafted Kolek. It'll be unlikely now because you'll end up with far too many short PGs on the team.

What is it with some of you wanting these senior citizens and hasbeens? CP3 is washed.

As much as we all love Duce McBride, our bench would benefit greatly from having CP3's play making in that backup PG slot.

If we can recoup one of the picks we gave up for McBride (even if it's just a 2025 pick from a different team) and because a 2nd apron team while upgrading from McBride to Chris Paul it would be a home run.

If we resign Hartenstein, it's real close to the 2nd Apron, which might make it tricky. Waived players usually sign for the vet minimum, because it makes no difference to them, it just comes off what they'd get from the team that waived them.

I wouldn't say no to Chris Paul for the vet minimum, but I'm not sure he wants to play so few minutes. Doesn't look like the best situation for him.
