young man came to this team on a bargain contract, stepped in and performed his role when asked and stepped up when needed. he exceeded every expectation we could have had for him and helped salvage a season that could have easily gone off the rails when mitch went down

I think this can wait until after we get his replacement. Right now he left us in a precarious position and nobody can appreciate that.
