A judge dismissed a federal lawsuit filed against New York Knicks and Rangers team owner James Dolan on Tuesday night that accused him of both pressuring a woman into unwanted sex and coordinating an encounter with former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes.

Kellye Croft initially filed her lawsuit in Los Angeles in January. She alleged that Dolan repeatedly pressured her into sex in 2013 and 2014 and that Weinstein — who has been convicted in various other sexual crimes in recent years and was a longtime friend of Dolan’s — sexually assaulted her in a Beverly Hills hotel. Croft also accused both men of sexual assault and unwanted touching, and accused Dolan of sex trafficking.

I have no opinion on any guilt or innocence here, but I'm curious as to the Judge's reasons for throwing the case out, i read the article but it didn't seem clear.

I did notice that Dolan's lawyer used this moment to take a shot at Charles Oakley though

I think that the woman's lawyer also represents Oakley, so that's what caused Dolan's lawyer to call him out. Very complicated and messy stuff involving Oakman.

That's too bad. A guilty verdict would have made a better story and maybe lead to the sale of the Knicks. Not that I want anyone who's not guilty to be found guilty, but I don't like Dolan much and I'd have chuckled a bit if there was anything to this.

It seems different laws apply to Billionaires, so if he'd gone to trial, it's unlikely he'd have been convicted. And of course, having done it should be a prerequisite for being convicted.
