I went to Aces vs Liberty last August. Absolute madhouse. The Liberty's fanbase in NY is legit
Not completely. Two games ago, Clara Tsai had her personal security goons harrass Melo and Spike, who were sitting courtside, at the very end of the game. They weren't injured as Barclay's security stepped in.
Every time I see Clara at home games I get aggravated because I can't get away from these vile ass holes.
The fact that Spike and Melo showed up to support the squad should be celebrated. I didn't know that there was an incident

I'm biased against Barclays ball, but not without good reason. (Although one non-basketball exception: My wife's college graduation was held at Barclays.)
A few years ago, right before the pandemic but right after KD and KI had been signed, my friend had blocks of tickets to games there. He invited a few of us Knicks fans to enjoy a game with the Knicks playing the Nets (we won fairly convincingly). The seats were great compared to what any of us could afford at MSG, of course. To get inside, we all had to pass through security, and wouldn't you know it, I was called out of line for having a weapon.
My arsenal consisted entirely of one 1" Swiss Army knife I'd had for over 20 years -- it had been given to me as a gift, and despite being used almost daily over that time, it was in great shape. So I asked, "where can I get it after the game?" And they told me, "You can't! Surrender the weapon, or leave NOW." It turns out they would keep it and not return it. I mean, I've been in courtrooms where they would hold it for you, but no, not Barclays. I know it must have been a very dangerous weapon judging by the fact that my simple question quickly attracted 3 guards who barked at me like I was a criminal.
I wanted to leave, but it was the Knicks, I didn't want to ruin my friends' night, and I wanted to contribute to the Knicks majority in the seats, so I gave it up. I really missed my knife.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. My friend received his 297th phone call from a Barclays' ticket agent. She said, "You used to subscribe -- why won't you buy tickets now?" He told her "Because of BKlutch's stolen pocket knife."
A couple of days later, a brand new pocket knife was delivered to him for me!She asked him again to purchase tickets. He said, "NO." She said, "But we sent you the knife!" and he explained it was because the team just raised the prices even though they suck, and he doesn't like what Joe says [about genocide] and all the stuff Clara does. And that it still doesn't change the fact that team leadership is inept and abusive to fans and the team still stinks.
He's continued to receive calls about once every three days since that time. He feels sorry for the woman and enjoys the little tidbits she shares about the behind the scenes drama. He worries she will become depressed, quit, or both.
