I'm traveling so won't have a chance to do the game thread for a while.
Knicks face real competition. Can they win?
Enjoy the loss as Thibs plays his starters 48 minutes each!

No way they lose against the Durantless Suns (or am I just naive?).

Re: Game Thread: NY Knicks at Phoenix Suns Wed, Nov 20 10:00 PM
Seeing Sims show a sign of life for the first time was fun but, it was the Wizards. What can he do against a better team?
The offense has been very good to start the season and things really started clicking the last few games. Again, it was against bum ass teams.
Seeing most of our losses outside of the BOS game were fourth quarter collapses is annoying as fuq. We should have at least 3-4 more wins if we didn't fall apart late. CLE/ATL/IND were all fourth quarter collapses and we could/should have beaten CHI if Brunson's last shot doesn't go halfway down and bounce back out. It's also a good sign we are not far off from the top teams in the league. A potential 11-3 or even 12-2 record in a perfect world. Oh well.
Will we see the same improvement on this road trip?
Has the team turned the corner?
Did we solve the late game collapse issues?
Will they go on a run to catch the top teams in the conference?
These questions and more will be answered on the next episode of WTF is going on around here? Tune in Wednesday night...late Wednesday night if you want the answers!!
Let's fuggin go Knicks!!

Also without Beal and Nukic. We can throw a lot of different looks at Booker so we’ll probably be favored in the match up.

I mean, just a year ago the Knicks played the Suns withouth Durant and Beal, and Booker playing bad. We all know how it turned out.

Beat the teams you're "suppose" to beat. Bridges needs to be locked in.

Buzz annoys us and the Knicks annoy Buzz by winning streak, so he has to make more game threads...it's the perfect circle of trolling.

Since that slow start, here's the last 10 games for KAT
25.1 PPG 12.9 RPG 3.3 APG 0.8 SPG 0.8 BPG
55.1% on 19.8 FGA
82.5% on 5.7 FTA
50% on 6.0 3PA
This is all NBA, starter for the East output.
This shouldn't be shocking for anyone. He had multiple seasons like this in his career.

Put OG on Booker from the start and give him the Cam Thomas trap treatment... on the other end, attack their many defensive holes. Should be a dub, but we'll see... They have no answer for KAT/Brunson.

Will Bridges make it to the free throw line?? I'm a bit taken aback by his lack of FTA.

Re: Game Thread: NY Knicks at Phoenix Suns Wed, Nov 20 10:00 PM
I don't necessarily mind that Thibs is playing some starters a significant amount of minutes to start the season. They do need to build chemistry as well as confidence, and this comes by winning games.
But OG can't be treated like he's just another player. His minutes need to be capped. 36 mpg is simply too high for him. He should be playing 30-32 mpg until the playoffs come around.
There needs to be guardrails around Thibs's minutes management. For how disciplined he generally is, he's completely out of control in that area.

Argument can be made if you want to be paid like the man, you gotta play like the man. He's too impactful to miss the equivalent of a quarter of play with your 30-32 MPG. I think 36 MPG is ideal. It's those 40 minutes that concerns me.

I'll be honest, if he keeps these numbers up and he's not the starting Center because the fans were stupid to vote Joel, I'll be pissed off.

It's about being realistic about his chances of injury and pragmatic about keeping him healthy for the playoffs.
Nothing matters if he misses the playoffs.
