Just looking at the Cavs wins, no wonder Barkley ain't sold on them the only beat us once the Celtics once and the bucks 2 times all the other games were against scrubs. Also the magic but right after they lost banchero

They're just being like us last year beating the teams you are supposed to beat. Now it's our turn to beat up a bunch a scrubs and rack up wins

Hoping/praying Precious has a great impact for us. I think he will.

At approx. the 20-game mark, you can see progress is being made.. For the team as a whole, chemistry-wise, Mikal's slowly starting to find his game, OG responded against Orlando after suddenly struggling for a few games, etc.. Beautiful... Now it's about taking the next step and what we need to get there.. I'd argue everything we may need the rest of the way is already here!

If anyone said to any of us, hey what are the Knicks lacking at this point in order to make another leap forward? I think most of us would immediately say another big man that can operate on both ends, more front court depth at 4 and 5 and more overall bench depth... Looking forward to Ahciuwa (and eventually Mitch) addressing these concerns in a big way. Then maybe a couple of secondary concerns -- another shooter (sadly, Matt Ryan doesn't appear to be the answer -- I get the feeling management liked him better than Thibs actually does, feels like not everyone may have been on the same page here with this move -- and then Dadiet has had some moments but I think everyone would agree he's not ready yet. So that's where Shamet on a reduced/prorated contract comes in at some point (you figure if he needed shoulder surgery, we would've heard by now, so now thinking he'll be able to rehab it and should be back at some point). OK what else? Maybe another bench wing that can score? That's where TJ Warren comes in, if there's any way we could possibly add him as well for the stretch drive, all w/o going into the 2nd Apron (I heard some chatter on some YouTube video yesterday, maybe Knicks Digest?, saying we could always come up with some more money for Shamet and/or Warren if we convert Matt Ryan back to a two-way contract. Not sure if that's true or just smoke). I think trying to unload Sims and his little bit of cap room onto a team for a 2nd round pick or cash might help us squeeze some extra money to sign one or both of Shamet/Warren as well maybe (maybe in order to sweeten it, WE include a future 2nd , cash and/or one of our current two-way contracts (Toppin, McCullar, Buie) to make that happen. Thinking when the time comes there's got to be some team out there with cap space that would be willing to do that).

Point being the team is playing better now and everything else we may need the rest of the way is already here in-house! Comforting a little to kinda know that, no?

Going manly against backups certainly helps...I can that the IQ effect.

But he has improved greatly with his positioning and going straight up using his size and length. He is still a space cadet at times. But he has sort of held down the fort as the backup big...at least until Precious and Mitch come back.

Sims being a measurably net positive player for these 20 games is sending me. All praise to Thibs and the coaching staff for getting him here, because it seemed like he was a lost cause. I still don't trust him going forward, but even if he reverts, they still got this incredibly valuable stretch out of him.
