Wonder how that happened? Hopefully the FO gets in Thibs ear. We can’t afford losing players to overuse.
We will be a mess (again) come end of year if this isn’t corrected.

Remember all those dudes making illogical arguments about how the pelicans keep getting injured so that means that there’s no connection between overplaying players and injuries?

Yes if evil Thibs just reduces KAT's minutes to 29.9 he will never ever get injured again!

How about not playing him huge minutes in the first game of a B2B and then leaving him in in the final minutes of a blow out the second game? While playing him the most minutes since 7 years ago?
It's not Thibs fault? Really? Our bench is on a twenty year record for least amount of minutes and guys are limping around playing 40+ minutes a game. You don't see a reason for this at all? Just a coincidence?

How about stop keeping your starters in the game when you’re up 30 in the 4th

I've had that as well. It's annoying and makes it painful to walk and run. You can still play basketball, but it really diminishes your ability to run and jump consistently and the more you pay the worse it gets.
It's does get better over time though once you're allowed to rest and once it goes away you're back to 100% so that's the good part. It's basically like having a really sore knee for a prolonged period of time.
Took me about a year to get over it 100% to the point where I wasn't think about it and didn't feel it at all
Tendinopathy is basically a wear and tear injury. If your knee is taking a level of run and jump stress and shock it's not used to, or if it just has a high level of stress in general, it can happen to your knee tendons

Thibs is not a good coach for players who have a long injury history.

He tore his meniscus in March, he's playing the most minutes he's played since he was 22, tendinopathy is an overuse related injury. Some of you are honestly weird, willing to defend Tom to the point you're fine with jeopardizing the health of the team. KAT turns 30 this year, is coming off knee surgery in March, and you think now's the time to defend the coach who is playing him more than anyone has done in almost a decade.

Yep, this is what I mean about illogical arguments. Based on this guy's current argument, the "reducing minutes" argument only works if it prevents injuries 100% of the time.
So if Lonzo gets hurt because he wore his daddy's shoes, WHOOPS, I guess that means the minutes argument doesn't matter.
When a poster has to resort to this type of strawman argument and can't understand nuance, it really throws up red flags. I would venture to say that no poster on this board would argue that making sure our players get adequate rest would eliminate 100% possibility of injuries, but in this guy's desperation to defend Thibs, he has made this the argument in his mind.
I suspect that he has to resort to this argument because he doesn't want to admit that reducing players minutes (yes, even to his favorite 29.9 minute number) will reduce risk of injury. Thus, he has to use the "never get injured again" exaggeration to win the argument in his mind.

Injuries should be treated as players responsibility and they gotta be fined should they start piling them up.
You can give 5 Thibs' to prime LeBron, Giannis or Jokic - he will play them like horses - they ain't getting injured. This league is so damn soft, stop making excuses for these bums. I get the pace is significantly higher than the 90s but so is the modern medicine, rehabilitation etc.
People need to understand - basketball players are among the dumbest athletes. And the athletes are not generally intelligent to begin with. They DO NOT know how to condition themselves. Because you have to be smart for it - there is no universal recipe - Lebron might need something, Jokic another, Giannis - third. But they figure it out by themselves. The rest - fine their ass until they broke. Stupid ass soft bums.
This has nothing to do with KAT, but in general.

Good. Hopefully we get to see 48 minutes of Sims and Suckporti for the next 40 games. Because they are excellent.

This is the lamest response ever to the injury discussion regarding Thibs. Fine the players? How about the person in charge uses an ounce of common sense regarding player health. It's a yearly reoccurring issue with him.

God does this machismo sh*t need to die off already
You guys are so extra all the time. I would rather a guy take a game off and possibly avoid a season-ending injury than prove how much of a big, strong manly man he is by gutting it out and then being hobbled when the games matter. But that's just me I guess, my pride and ego are second to my need to win, I'm not built like you old guys where doing worse is perfectly acceptable if it allows you to claim back some of that fragile masculinity.

Deuce has the same knee condition right? He missed a game or two earlier with knee soreness. And I know it's currently hamstring but things are all related too

Not sure. Injuries do happen but, Thibs accelerates the process. No other team runs rotations like this for 82 games. None. Damn sure not the ones we're competing with for a title.

Injuries will happen, especially minor ones
Proper management prevents them from piling up and killing a season in the end. Rushing guys back and "toughing it out" or whatever is just bad long term strategy.
