Thibs needs to go

Post#1 » by B8RcDeMktfxC » Tue Jan 7, 2025 10:30 pm

A thread to unify the general bewilderment at Thibs's minutes allocations and other coaching sins.

The Knicks should replace him with Tuomas Iisalo (or possibly Thiago Splitter(!)).

Knicks need to eject ballhog Brunson off the team along with his crappy coach father, Rick.

Seriously, does anyone really believe Rick Brunson adds anything to the staff besides staring at other players in a mean way?

And Mo Cheeks? WTF does he do? Washed up.

And why does Thibs need 12 coaches while he does the same sh*t over and over again? Shouldn't that stuff be committed to memory now?

Need to bring in a modern coach who will shake up the roster and fix everything wrong with the team.

also his motion offense and drop coverage on both ends wears down our players further more

instead of switching all and runing simple sets to keep their legs fresh… Towns from both beyond the arc and from the elbow is automatic… why dribble and move like crazy on every possession…?!

she is not a modern one at all… we need a sane coach after all… with our lineup you can be elite even with the most arcaic coach… they can run flex, triangle, Princeton, UCLA and PnR heavy all the same! Hart 28, Anunony 30, Towns 32, Brunson 34, Mikal 36… during blowouts at least 5 mins less per every starter… and one game off in every other 8-10 games

Knicks should be like the Bulls and Pacers, jack up 3's all game long. Those teams are 1 and 2 in the NBA in Won Loss record, right?

Rick added Jalen for a sweet deal and has a shoebox of Jimmies cash somewhere for his trouble. Now we have Amare in KAT with a cooked knee on a mega capkiller max and a chucker lead who is a defensive zero Carmelen Brunthony. We even have a poor mans JR Smith in Bridges.

Drop coverage isn't working. Fighting through screens isn't working. Playing 5 guys 40+ isn't working. Short rotations are not working. Even during the winning streak we had games where if the competition was better, we would have lost a few games.

The three point shooting fell of a cliff before the 3 game skid. JB/OG were struggling for weeks. Seemingly both playing through injuries/fatigue.

The bench keeps rotating injured players and the HC refuses to try anything different. We need more from the bench. Figure it out. I doubt we would have had the losing streak if we weren't dealing with injuries/fatigue.

I'm done with Thibs but, I'm still hopeful we get 100% healthy before the playoffs for some reason. In spite of his lunacy.
