The question is when will they start beating up - or at least being competitive - with top tier teams?

We are last in 3 point defense in the NBA.

The bottom 5 teams: Philly, Detroit, Brooklyn, Sacramento and us. Doesn’t garner confidence and enthusiasm for playoff success.

If Thibs keeps Josh & Kat's minutes in check till the 4th quarter tn we should have a great chance to win. We also play to the opponents pace every time. ATL plays fast which is actually our strength so stylistically this matchup favors us.

These are all things we've had a problem with the last 5 years. We are almost always giving up one of three things - high opponent attempt threes, a high percentage from three or a lot of makes from three, that is just a feature at this point.


And we've never had a winning record against .500 better with Tom as our coach.

There are teams that have done it that had a worse record than us throughout the years too, last year the Pacers were 27-21 vs .500 or better, in 2021-2022 the Raptors were 28-22 vs .500 or better with a 48-34 record, yet when we win 50 games we're 21-28.


This is also just a feature at this point, maybe this year we'll finally go over .500 against those kind of teams, we'll never beat elites though, we're capped out with the coach.
