How does this compare to Biggy and Tupac?

Whereas Biggy and Tupac incorporated elements of east coast west coast dominance, and competition which became personal then deadly, this feud took on more of a life of Drake keeping it surface level “Pop-y” initially. Then, for some reason, Drake made it personal in “Family Matters” talking about Kendrick’s wife. What started off as simple competitive juices between Drake, J Cole and Kendrick, immediately made Kendrick enter a different level of psychological assault in his diss tracks back to Drake. Kendrick bodied him in “Meet the Grahams” which is one of the darkest, most sinister tracks I’ve ever heard period (diss track or not). He then followed it up with the most catchiest diss track in “not like us” that I’ve ever heard (probably more catchy than Ice Cube’s “No Vaseline”)

Biggy and Tupac had more of NY vs. LA vibe which became deadly. With this, Kendrick utterly undresses Drake’s character (by calling him a pe***hile) leading to a probable demise of Drake’s career.

The Canadian guy is a pedophile and he sued the American guy because he said mean things about him.

Where as Tupac vs. Biggie was more West coast vs East coast, Kendrick vs. Drake has evolved to be more Black American culture vs. all culture vultures who try to exploit Black American culture for personal gain.

Hence the term “They Not Like Us” which has a deeper meaning that reverberates more with Black Americans (as did the Super Bowl performance), because others outside of The Culture may have the deeper than surface level elements going over their heads.

"Meet the Grahams" is solid. "They Not Like Us" I find irritating because the beat is garbage and it is repetitive. Both are corny, but Drake is FAR worse, and also a degenerate piece of trash (Kendrick is not as far as I can tell from what I've seen.) How Drake was even able to have a career in this is far beyond normal reasoning. You could just tell right from the start what kind of guy he is. I have my own theories, but that's a whole other discussion.

LOL this is exactly how i expected this thread to go. Not shocking given the amount of crazy misinformation out there about Drake and how this beef was actually started...

Ah yes the track where Kendrick completely copied Pusha T's "TSOA" and even made up a fake daughter!

But yes, by far, the winner of this "rap battle".

Man the internet's brains became fried from this stupid beef.

All you need to know is one dude ended up suing his own record label over allowing the other guy to make a song calling him a pedophile, while said other guy had an entire stadium calling the first guy a pedophile on live TV to the largest audience in Superbowl halftime show history.

My brain is either fried or, and this is more likely, I don't care enough about either one of these two idiots enough to do my research and found the song, that I quite literally just Googled and listened to from copy/pasting the title into Google from this very thread, to be surprisingly good, considering the source it came from (Kendrick.) Condolences on your side-piece's career getting absolutely cooked.

Hey man I just don't really understand how Kendrick, on wax, actually won. I know better than to argue on the internet about it though because I won't win here

Drake's disses were better. People can fight me if they want on that...

Not Like Us, to me, is an awful song. Not even taking into account that joking about pedophilia and how throwing around false accusations of that can be extremely damaging on multiple levels.

Whatever, like I said, i'm bowing out. Y'all take your victory laps.

Oh, look, we agree on something. Re-read the post you quoted by me. And Kendrick "wins" not necessarily by merit of anything he did, but by Drake's reactions to what he did. Suing him? Apparently Drake's handlers never heard of the Streisand effect.

Like I said I want to bow out because I know i'm going to get dog piled by people here lol

But, just to be clear Drake did not sue Kendrick. He sued the record label (that they are both on) for various reasons..

And also a little tidbit that got swept under the rug by most people is that the record label caught wind of the possible lawsuit and actually threatened to sue Kendrick themselves if Drake sued them

Again this thing is a whole stupid rabbit hole of people on the internet yelling at each other about it. People can be fans of Kendrick. I actually don't really care at this point and don't know why I even responded today.... I'm more of a fan of Drake (obviously as most can tell at this point  ). It is what it is. I didn't mean to come at you sideways bro.
