The poll is for the most part, ordered by most wins. Nominations welcome (doesn't have to be by most wins). Dave Fizdale had to be a joke, right? Not a nomination. Just making sure. I added Vince Borela to the poll. Average win/loss record, most of 3 seasons, but I don't know a thing about him.

And, am I being punked with the 2 Mike Woodson votes, or are those legit? Do some people really like Mr. Potatoe Head that much?

On Joe Lapchick, the Knicks made the playoffs every year and the finals 3 times under him (0 wins), but there were 11 teams in the league back then, and I think, the top 8 made the playoffs, so it was a bit easier to make it to the finals. Vote as you see fit.

I missed the first poll. I went Hubie because he was the coach I grew up with and I still have a fondness for him and those players- King, Walker, Sparrow, Tucker, Orr, Cummings & my favorite- Ken the Animal Bannister!

In that same early era - I’d go with Pitino as someone who was ahead of his time- he went deep with his bench, pressed and shot the 3 like no one would for years to come.

And I have to give honorable mention to Don Chaney- I gave him a ton of grief at the time, but what I don’t think I appreciated at the time- his group just did not have a lot of talent- and they over-achieved in a big way!

Woody is still my favorite. Ran plays to get Melo the ball where he wanted it with good spacing; had great defensive rotations off double teams.
