2025 NBA Draft June 25 & 26

The draft starts in 4 days and the Knicks have the Grizzlies pick (#50).
With 4 young players already on the roster, I don't expect NY to be super active, but Leon is a big wheeler & dealer.

Will they do a trade? Anyone want to do a mock? Pick #1 is easy, but SA is a wild card. A trade is possible for them.

It’s Brock Aller, so chances are we will trade the pick for three future conditional second round picks and the draft rights to Qatari small forward Tanguy Ngombo.
If by some odd chance we keep the pick, Jaxson Robinson and RJ “Lavor Postell Pt. II” Luis are interesting prospects.

Trade up in the 2nd round for Dixon from Villanova!
Or trade Kolek and replace him with Nembhard from Gonzaga
Kolek would be used in a trade to get DiVincenzo back
There seem to be some talented players available late in the 2nd round so I hope we dont waste the pick

With only the 50th pick, I'd take a flyer on this kid to see if he can be developed. 6'9, 7'4 wing span?

On that tape he looks like a 7'4" Siakaam. Dribbles, drives and makes corner 3's. And did you check the score - at one point his team was up 52-16!
My bad - thought he was 7'4" Oh well, Siakaam 2 anyway.

This is going to be a sad thread. I'm not even going to bother thinking about who we could draft. I know people are gonna have their lists ready, watching film, and the pick will be traded for a future second in 2031.

I disagree with you. The Knicks draft gurus have been good at finding players in the 2nd round and Leon always works the phones. Their tight finances means they might carry one or even two 2nd rounders on the roster this year, or as 2-way players. Hukporti was a fun pick at 58. They got McCullar last year when he fell to 56. . . . would it be better if they had a first rounder - of course it would, but I'm still looking forward to what they get done.

If Thibs was still here he will never leave the bench unless they are up by 50 with 15 seconds left in the game.

Yeah. Looks a little clunky but, why not? Is Clyde still calling home games next year?

The Ace Bailey situation is really interesting. His agent seems to be giving him really bad advice. But besides that, he is the clear #2 in the draft for me. I don't know how you can pass him up. 6'8 3 level scorer don't grow on trees. At the very least he needs to go top 3.
