Of course. Starting Mitch was always an insane plan. Now the team has to adjust to a new gameplan. When he’s healthy, he should play 20 minutes per max. Brown made a player with bad feet run wind sprints in practice :nonono:

I honestly think they are just making sure he’s healthy come playoff time and if they are going to play a faster tempo this year him playing a lot of games isn’t gonna be ideal if you want him at his best come April. If he gets starts throughout the year and plays 20 mins in those minutes so the playoff starters actually gets reps together, I see no issue in this.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that he doesn't know what he's supposed to do on defense either.

I don't love the idea of Mitch being in and out of the starting lineup

but maybe Mike Brown wants to use Mitch the same way Golden State used Kevin Looney

Looney never started every game for the Warriors in the playoffs. Some regular seasons he started almost every game, other seasons he came off the bench half the time, and other seasons he came off the bench most the time

Knicks would have to develop Golden State level chemistry to pull that off though

It is weird that Mike brown spent a game running no plays. What is he learning from that lol

Neither Brunson or Kat seem that enthusiastic about him and the season hasn’t even started. The Don Nelson part 2 vibes are forming. Get van gundy on line 2 to see if he might be interested in taking over in February lol
