NY - MIAMI Trade Proposal

This is the first trade proposal I have ever posted . . . and it's a permutation of another member's post, so I can't even take full credit for it. But I think it makes sense. It seems to me that the Heat need some low post scoring. And I would like to un-do the Zach trade and get him outta here, so here it is:

Zach Randolph and Nate Robinson to Miami for Udonis Halsem and Jason Williams.

We can some limited point guard help (and an expiring contract) plus we get a more complimentary power forward to Eddy Curry.

Miami gets some low post scoring without giving up much in the rebounding department in Randolph. Plus, in getting Nate, they get some firepower off the bench. I would agree to substitute Fred Jones for Nate if Riley determined he wanted a more defensive minded guard.

I don't know if the contract numbers work out, but there it is for your thoughts.

They're not giving us Haslem. Take him and Nate out and replace with Ricky Davis. Much simpler and cleaner because we are in no position to be giving up young talent without getting a pick back.

The Randolph for Davis-Williams deal makes a lot of sense at this point. It has a chance of putting the wood psychologically back into Mr. Softee (Eddy Curry), puts the team back into position to be under the cap at the end of Marbury's deal, and establishes a reasonable rotation. The Knicks would still have to cut someone, but at this point, that shouldn't be a big deal. It's time to set Malik free. He's spent enough time in purgatory....

Unless you're sending the money for Randolph's salary, then No!

not a good idea, Jason Williams wouldn't solve any of our issues.

David Lee should be our starter at PF for years now, so no need for Haslem too.
Think the Kings would bite on a Zach trade involving Artest?

I proposed a similar deal a few weeks back, but it expanded a bit more to the knicks favor.

I would still do this deal. this probably would def be accepted by the heat.

LOL "probably would def"?

That's the funniest thing I've ever read...

Uh sorry, no chance the heat give up haslem for more contract.

they're trying to shed contract.

And why would they give us cap relief for zach and nate?

Jason Williams has an expiring contract I believe. And he could be our back-up point guard for the rest of the year.

. . . maybe because Zach gives them some low post scoring punch to loosen up the outside for Wade and Davis?

Lee splits time with Haslem and Curry.

JWill > Nate (especially since JWill is a $9 million expiring contract)

Haslem > Zach (Haslem fits our team better and has a better contract, if Zach and Eddy didn't work, why would we try to make Zach and Shaq to work?)

So, yeah. The Heat says no.

Miami has low post scoring with Shaq. Randolph would not fit alongside Shaq.

Zack doesn't fit anywhere. But maybe Riley is feeling desperate. We can always hope.

What are you talking about? What Zach has over Haslem and why he fits with Shaq is that he also rebounds while having the ability to create his shot off the dribble from 17ft out, and he can hit the 20foot jumper with consistency.

If you play Wade/Shaq on one side of the court, teams still have to respect the weakside with Zach. Wheras with Haslem, they don't because Haslem gets his shot off putbacks and jumpers from the foul line down.

This opens up Miami's offense and Haslem can play next to Zach when Shaq goes to the bench.
