Defense is a TEAM sport...by adding 1 good defensive player to the team is not going to change this outcome of our defensive performance...by much

Ron Artest's name is coming up in the press again...but do you honestly think he will help this team? he cant guard 5 people at one time...

in order to become a good defensive team...there are other players that need to go...i really hope isiah doesnt think getting artest will make a differnce...because with players like curry and randolph backing him up...we have no shot.

you need a good defensive frontcourt to start winning...we dont have that

True defense is a team sport BUT if Artest was to come here he will MAKE others play D.He will lead by example, the same way KG changed the mind set of the Celtics(and for the ppl who cant read,no im not putting Artest on the same lvl as KG).I believe defense is best played when you play with energy, every single player in this league is capable of being a lock down defender but they dont play with the energy that is necessary to become a lock down defender.

adding artest dropped sacramento's opposing ppg by 6 points a game. that's 1 player's impact.

there is no such thing as lockdown defense. but there's a HUGE difference in terms of playing angles and forcing guys to take tougher shots. that's something we have no concept of doing.

simple play, wilson chandler is guarding salmons on the baseline. he forced him to stay on the baseline and stayed with him and forced him into a tough shot under the basket. that's defense.

everybody else guarding him, gives him a free pass by them and he scores.

The knicks are just not motivated right now...and addind artest im not sure if thats enough to motivate them

as of now..the only 3 players i would keep on this team is Lee/Crawford and Chandler...maybe balkman because he hasnt been giving shots to shine

well there are guys like KG who can just force a team to become pretty good defensively. So maybe passion helps too.

But KG also provides an inside presence..somthing artest cant too...you cant expect to be a good defensive team or even a improved defensive team if you are weak inside...and we are REALLY weak inside
