Zach Randolph of the New York Knicks has been suspended one game without pay for throwing his headband and hitting an official, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 1:47 remaining in the third period of the Knicks 107-97 loss to the Kings on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Madison Square Garden.
Randolph will serve his suspension tonight when the Knicks visit the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center. [READ]

Thank goodness we don't have to watch Z-hole try to force up a shot when he is triple teamed and then get it blocked, for at least one game.

It'll be really interesting to see how the team plays without everyone's scapegoat of the week.
granted against the best team in the league.
also clearly this is an extra harsh punishment handed down. he was already kicked from the game afterall

Well, It's no shock really, Zach was pretty much asking for it. If he threw it in the direction of the Knicks bench it wouldn't have been a problem. But he launched it somewhere on the court they didn't show a angle of.
