which kind of team would you rather have...grind it out and give up 70pts and win or score 120 and blow teams out of the gym?

Defensive powerhouse. Ever since the Pistons of a few years ago, my love for watching defense has been reinvigorated. Also, I still believe, that even in today's NBA, defensive powerhouses are more likely to become a dynasty than high octane teams.

Defense..... remember when they owned the fourth, undefeated in February
Now my hope is to only be down by ten at the start of the fourth and to win a game before February.

High octane offense. You need both though. I laugh at people who think that defense is more important than offense. If you can't score you aren't going to win. I prefer the high octane offense because you always have the opportunity to come back at any time because you can score like crazy. If you have a great defense, and you can't buy a bucket, and you're down ten, you're done.

The Bulls had good defensive teams but they were known for the triangle offense, not triangle defense. Showtime wasn't about their defense, and even the Celtics scored a **** of points.

You need both, but the Knicks need to be what we are known for over the years: Team Oriented Defense.

Not even close. Defensive powerhouse.

Championships are all about defense, in every sport.

Don't give me the "you still need a great offense" crap. Defense creates offense in basketball. Its a proven fact.

I'd be fine either way as long as The team is effective at what they do.

Let me put it this way: I'd like to see Isiah implement full and half court pressing with the 2nd team as soon as the next game. Put out Balkman, Collins, Nate, Lee, and Jeffries together, and let's see how much havoc that group can cause.
