UPDATE

Stephon Marbury will miss at least the next two Knicks' games after being diagnosed with inflammation and a chronically fractured bone spur on his left ankle on Monday.
Marbury went after practice Monday to see specialist Dr. William Hamilton, who recommended Marbury wear a walking boot for three days before being evaluated with an MRI exam. Marbury is hoping to have surgery, thus effectively ending his season (for the most part), but we'll have to wait and see if the doctors agree.

Tank the season.

Trade Marbles for McGrady this summer.

He still has another year left after this one. We haven't seen the last of him.

Marion is the only player i would trade our draft pick, or david lee for. NOT BOTH THOUGH.

I think Marion is the most underrated player in the NBA, and could averaged 25, 15, 5 and 2 bpg on the knicks. **** i would play him at PF if the new coach wanted to play balkman at SF.

considering Marion is the best player in the league currently on the trading block, yea I would.

but you can post here and call me out when Lebron and Howard get put on the trading block.

Marion 25 a game on the Knicks?

With who passing him the ball?

Let's not act like Marion's a JJ, T-Mac, Kobe, etc. he needs somebody to set him up for his buckets.

His numbers were similar when Marbury was with the Suns.

What are you gonna say about that now?

I'm going say reading isn't fundamental.

The last year Marbury was in Phoenix, Marion averaged 19 a game.

So 19 points per game is similar to 25 points per game?

Also since when was it reasonable to project statistics based off production from four years ago?

Hell you have to go 5 years back to see when the guy averaged over 20 a game, and that was the ONLY time he did it in his career.

You get an F for effort.

Not sure where all the stroking for Marion comes from, but given that this guy wanted a $60 million extension over 3 years, I would rather have Gerald Wallace for the same money over 5.

Yea, exactly. He averaged 19 a game with Marbury and his career high isn't that far off from that average.

I was pretty much answering what you said about him needing someone to pass him the ball. Didn't you say that he needs someone to pass him the ball in order to be effective?

Even if his point guard is Nash, Marbury, etc.. my point is Marion will still put up huge scoring numbers.

Exactly.

F for effort? Please. Think before you write anything on this board. Am I the person who said he was going to score 25 if he was on the Knicks? No. So STFU.

I responded to the poster who threw out the number 25 points per game.

You replied to me and said what I quoted above.

Again, 19 points per game is similar to 25?

Marbury is a fax to the league from no longer being a Knick, I'm not sure why you're even counting him as being a part of the team that's going to feed Marion enough to get his 25 per.

Yeah but now Nate gets more playing time.

..buddy, that is a good thing! Why is Nate getting the short end of the stick (no pun intended)?

If he was in another team, many posters would be begging for Isiah to trade for him.
Let's give LEBRON the BLACK-AND-BLUE-PRINT!

Like he's trying to stick it to Isiah one last time

...more like he doesn't want to get traded out of NY.

Didn't he do something similar last year at about this time?
