How I would use the current roster
This post is a spinoff from the Crawford possibly starting at the point thread. The following is based on the premise that we want as high a lottery pick as possible AND want to see what we have as far as youthful "talent". I'm also convinced that there's no chance of us making a run and having a good season.
PG- Nate- IMO Natge has proven that he will play hard and that he can distribute the ball. He's playing smarter, playing defense, and hustling his ass off. The kid is doing everything anyone has asked of him. He deserves to start
SG- Crawford- While Crawford was recruited by Michigan as a PG and played the point in Chicago, I think his best position is the 2. Keeping him at the 2 allows whoever is playing the point to get him the ball when he's hot and freeze him out when he's cold. .When he's hot he can score as well as almost anyone in the league
SF- Jeffries- I'd like to see what he can do with more pt. I like his defense, I like that he blocks shots, and I like that he won't be chucking up bricks from the arc.
PF- Lee- I'm not convinced that Lee is "the goods" but I'd like to find out. If he's a guy that is deemed untouchable and is a genuine talent then let's see him prove it. If not, we need to know before we blow the team up
C- Zach- I think he's one of our best players and I also think that he's better suited to playing the post. He rebounds, scores and passes better than Curry. Start him
off the bench, playing significant minutes
Curry
Balkman
Chandler
Morris
Collins
Make Rose the morale officer, or community relations rep. Just don't let him play. Don't give Jones minutes, he's not in our future. That gets to be the guy who runs out for burgers when the real players are in their hotel rooms and getting hungry.
If we do all of the above we should be in contention for a high lotto pick, we'll find out about our kids, and we'll know how to blow the team up next season, OR, we'll win more games than we think we will, still get a lotto pick, and be pleasantly surprised by what we have. Either way we win.

I disagree about Nate and Jeffries. The Knicks need a guy who can hit a jumper at the 3. I am not sure that Q is that guy. Balkman and Jeffries have the same problem but I do think Balkman is more productive. I am not ready to give control of the team to Nate. He has talent and has looked good for a couple of games but he is not a mature guy and needs to show over a period of time that he can control himself and behave in a responsible manner that benefits the team.

Balkman, Lee, Curry, Crawford, and Jones. Balkman and Lee are your hustle guys...along with Jones. Crawford runs the offense, Curry is your only real center option.
Richardson would only see spot minutes until his shooting respectable.
Nate and Zach would essentially be co-6th men. Rose would never see the floor.

Is he a bad defender yes. he forces offensive shots way to much...has no shooting range....is a defensive liability. he has his flaws like everyone else on this roster...the way some of yall talk about him is crazy

I would not start Curry over Zach because Curry does not rebound. With Curry starting that would be many missed second chance opportunities. While Zach is a rebounding machine.

If Curry is gonna throw a fit because he doesnt start I think he should start.
the team that I want on the court during close games in the last 8 minutes is:
Robinson
Crawford
Balkman
Randolph/Jeffries
Lee
Id like to see Jones in their during defensive stops and Curry in their when we need a big bucket instead of Balkman.
