Why didn't we sign him? We are a team in need for a defensive big that can block shots, he would have been a nice pick up.

Lemme take a guess. your allowed to have 15 players and we have 1...2....3.... 15 PLAYERS !!!

A smart franchise takes care of what needs to be taking care off. I.E. if you know you need a Center that can defend and block shots, and you happen to have a surplus in other areas, you have to take appropriate actions to acquire what needs to be acquired to balance the roster. Tell me why we still have Malik and Jerome on the roster?

With no Malik we wouldn't have Lee
And we signed Jerome because he was the best Center Option at the time....

And he was one of the best shot blockers per minute in the NBA. Jerome James blocks shots at a greater rate than a lot of players in the NBA. Of course, that is about all he does. He can't score, dribble, rebound, stay out of foul trouble, or do much of anything else. And the Knicks offered him the MLE.

The past is exactly what it is. Mbenga was available and we should have acquired him. He can give us something that neither Malik nor James can provide, that is defense and shot blocking. Jerome is a waste of space.

What could the team signed him for if we had an open roster spot?
They don't have the LLE, do you sign him for the MLE or use the trade exception?.
The team used the LLE on Morris last year, a team can only use this every two seasons.
Since they are over the Salary these are the only ways Mbenga could have been acquired, so now do you think it should have been done?.
