Is there anyway we can get them to take Eddy or Zach with some other talent (if necessary) in a package where we get back Sean Williams -- maybe something else?

Something like ... Eddy and Balk for Sean Williams, Marcus Williams and Jason Collins.

They get scorer and defensive SF we get young PF and young point. Maybe we start Williams at center.

Or

Randolph and Balkman for Collins, Magloire, S. Williams and M. Williams.

We immediately insert S. Williams in starting line-up next to Eddy and put M. Williams at the point.

Next move - get rid of Q-Rich.

Not a chance in hell the Nets trade Sean Williams for Eddy or Zach and Balkman. Remember now, Rod Thorn is not an idiot.

So wait, we get to trade an overpaid, lazy center and get a young promising rookie who had a terrific colleg career and shows tremendous defensive ability? Well that and I dont want to trade Renaldo.

well i'd say get Nenad Kristic somehow

remember bringing Jason Collins means you will have two large pieces of mass sitting next to each other on the bench, doing nothing.
Lol imagine the amount of newspaper space a picture of the two of em will take

Collins & Jerome James

Thorn is going to want NYK's 2008 1st rounder as well in any deal, so from the Knicks' perspective this trade will NEVER happen.

If the Nets would accept a trade with us just sending Eddy Curry, I'd pull the trigger on it, regardless of who they send back, as long as VC isn't coming back.

I don't want to trade Randolph before Curry because I want Curry off the team pronto. The Knicks might actually be able to use Randolph. I wouldn't write him off just yet even though I think he holds the ball too much and doesn't pass as much as he should.

I'd much prefer moving Eddy as well over Zach I just don't think holds much value.

The Nets aren't going anywhere without an infusion of talent on the inside.

I wouldn't want to give Zach away but netting the Williams youngins would be nice - I think. We get a defensive 4 and young point. Nets get the inside scorer (rebounder) they crave.

What the Nets should do: Trade for Jermaine O'Neal, shut him down for the season. Trade for Nocioni in the above package on the wire-tap, trade Kidd for Farmar, 2 draft picks, Kwame Brown and Vlad. Tank the season and get a high draft pick.

Next season:

Farmar/Armstrong
Mayo/Noc
Jefferson/Insert player
Sean Williams/Boone
Jermaine O'Neal/Nenad

I like the Kidd trade myself but maybe for Farmar, Brown and Odom. Why would you want to take on Vlad?

Not sure why they want Nocioni with Jefferson sitting there -- unless they want Nocioni in order to move Jefferson.

zach and Q
for
Jefferson and Collins

I think thats fair to both squads.

NJ get their inside scoring presence and takes back a solid wing defender who could possibly get it going again with Kidd's help. plus hes a high character guy. They give up Collins who is barley playing anyway.

NY gets a much better wing player and a defender at the 5.
