What if the Knicks went on strike?

Post#1 » by rrosario35 » Thu Jan 24, 2008 7:49 pm

Hypothetically? What if they did, what would happen?
What if they went on strike till IT was fired. The whole team...

In my opinion
A - It would be hilarious
B - They'd all be fined BIG TIME
C - IT would get an extension

They wouldnt get paid, and thus, the whole reason they even would show up at all is gone.

If the Knicks went on strike, the NBA will lose a lot of revenue.. NYC has too many basketball fans, and a lot of them will lose reason to watch the game.

bNo would be happy because the Knicks will have the most ping pong balls for the lottery. Although with the way the Wolves are playing there's that's no guarantee still.

Exactly....

Would you strike if your boss paid you way more than you were worth and you didnt have to anything?!

Usually people strike when they are either underpaid or not treated fairly... the Knicks can complain about neither...

you think it'd be hilarious if the team you root for refused to play?

I think it'd be hilarious if we could give some of our fanbase over to Chi or Tor and let them suffer through these kind of comments

I think it would be hilarious... But imagine like someone said, all of the revenue the NBA would lose if the players went on strike... do you think Dolan could afford to let his players walk for a week?

yes it is the team that I root for but you know what, if I had problems where I hated my supervisor and the rest of the staff hated the superviso then yea I'd try to strike for the better of the company and the betterment of my job, why the hell not . So if it takes a strike to fix this team and to unite them then why not?
Hilarious as hell

Jerome James has been on strike for a few years. I heard he wants more money.

If you change the salary cap rules of that like the NFL and take away guaranteed contracts, how many of these fat, lazy unmotivated, overpaid players would actually want to play then?

Screw the players, the fans should go on strike. Its probably too late now, but if somehow/someway no one bought games to opening night next year...that would be something.

YES!!

I wish they would, it would promote a change for sure. Besides, it's not like this team is going anywhere.

As hard as it is to root against this team, (and when they play tomorrow, if they're winning come 4th quarter I'll be rooting once again), the reality is that the more games we win this year, the worse off we are.

BNO's T4R plan is as good as its gonna get for this team atm.
