The best thing anyone can say about this SOTU is that it's the last one Bush gets to deliver.

Can we get a real president now, please?

he tried to pass a bill removing the ability for him and members of his administration to be charged with war crimes for his illegal wars but it didn't get the needed votes it was added to the end of another bill that had nothing to do with what he was trying to pass.
the man comes off as an idiot but he is actually very smart in an illegal sorta way. after the french tried to arrest rumsfeld several months ago for war crimes bush is trying to cover his arse in the usa.
well thank goodness its over for him unless he declares war on iran and uses the rule that a sitting president can't be removed during war time.

The reason for going into Iraq is still up for debate...the orignal strategy was obviously a losing one... but I think even Dems agree that the "surge" is working...

I agree, how this isnt already done is crazy... the whole belief that dems will raise taxes for only the "wealthy" is crazy. They are going to raise taxes for EVERYONE if these tax cuts arent made permanent soon! Universal Healthcare isnt "free"...

Also, for all the talk about the dems being for the people and the Dems response that Bush should join them... how they can possibly be derailing the tax relief by trying to ADD spending to it... isnt their whole argument that this administration spends too much? Yet when we can give immediate relief to millions of americans, they are willing to either delay or derail it by adding spending to the bill... ugh politics sucks!
