It's silly to think we'll ever get the same value we dealt for Curry, especially after what Gasol just got dealt for. We NEED to pawn him off to a big time contender that needs some kind of boost, but at the same time, won't hurt them if EC doesn't work out. So my proposal here is to get the Spurs on the phone. They've been an average team this year by their standards and could actually miss out on homecourt advantage this post season. I think they'd be willing to make a move like this as long as it doesn't break up their core or key bench players.

Brent Barry
Francisco Elson

for

Eddy Curry

We then buyout Barry and let him rejoin the Spurs. I dont know how important Elson is to that team, but he's had a small role this season and not giving them much. I think it's a low risk, high reward move for San Antonio, as long as they get to resign Barry. Curry has a decent contract that's not too lengthy, and his scoring could be valuable on that team. Playing alongside Duncan could maybe get s/t out of him, just maybe. For us, we get two expiring deals and open up minutes for Lee. What more could you ask for?
