Seattle Is Looking To Deal Szczerbiak
February 6, 2008 - 9:23 am
Pioneer Press -
Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press is reporting that the Seattle Supersonics are looking to deal Wally Szczerbiak before this month's trade deadline.

Szczerbiak is the team's highest paid player, and will make $25 million between this season and the next. [

This is exactly what the knicks need a consistent shooter who can space the floor. He plays mild defense but i'd suggest a crawford for Szczerbiak trade in a heartbeat. That way Crawford goes back to Seattle where he belongs.

Cmon man, Wally Szerbiak? Even if he made us a few games better, no thanks. We should be trying to rebuild, not to win 33 games again, even though it looks like Isiah doesnt know this.

Craw and fred
for
wally and petro

Get rid of Crawfords contract and get a young athletic center who makes close to nothing. Wally expires next season, that would be 40 something million coming off the cap.

This deal would've been great at the beginning of the year. Not now, since we're 20 under and I'd rather better our chances at winning the lotto

I like this proposal so much I'm going to suggest Isiah make it happen. We need to bring balance to the force.

Wally would be perfect here off the bench but the idea of trading Jamal for him is so stupid I can hardly believe it.

It seems like people suggest things without using their brains sometimes.

Wally has played all but 2 games for us this year and has shown over those games, that he's healthy again and still able to efficiently score in this leage.

BTW: Looking at your roster, i don't really see a way of you guys aquiring him, if there isn't a 3rd team involved, cause we surely don't want contracts like the one of Jamal Crawford or Quentin Richardson.

Explain to me why we would give them a 1st round pick along with two players superior to the crap they would be giving us.

Because anything that's not a Knicks is better than they are and anything that's a Knick is worse than they are. And obviously the Sonics are a better team (right now) than the Knicks so their players (even their crap/fringe players) have to have more value than the Knick players (even their better/best players).

YOU don't want that. You have no idea what the Sonics front office wants anymore than we know what the Knicks front office wants. Big difference.
