Everyone interested in Knicks job

Post#1 » by GuyverADL » Fri Mar 21, 2008 4:40 am

*Edited*

Come on guys we had a string of these articles a few months ago and Thomas is still here. Get over it. When Dolan gets rid of him we'll know it.

Thomas didnt get that extension 2 yrs ago because of the winning streak. Dolan WANTED to extend him before that and used that as an excuse to extend Thomas.

Dolan has had MULTIPLE opportunities to fire Thomas. Keeping him till the end and throwing a new GM and coach in here to evaluate these guys over the summer is stupid. O wait unless Dolans to KEEP Thomas which we know he does.

I think Steve Mills should be watching his back. Also why would Dolan want to meet Walsh, ooo yea, Walsh hired Isiah Thomas  .

Those looking for Isiah Thomas to be fired are going to be disappointed. It doesnt matter because They'll all tune into MSG and put more money in Dolan's pockets.

Seriously though, the more candidates with credentials and a historically successful resume who profess an interest in the Pres/GM job the more it heightens the chances that Dolan will be forced to out Thomas. "Pressure busts pipes" and right now it would be seen as a debacle by David Stern, the fans and other owners for a guy to do as bad a job as Isiah has done and then have bonafide, respected candidates show interest only to be rebuffed.

Come on man really. Thomas survived a 20 game losing streak plus a 40 point BLOWOUT on national TV.

Thomas is the new Teflon Don. Maybe Thomas knows something about that body found in Dolan's back yard?

20 game losing streak? Anyway I don't think Isiah is teflon. I think Dolan is using the Larry Brown strategy on him. That is to say, that he's making him earn as much of his contract as possible before getting rid of him.

Good job Optimus.

I had been feeling the same way. How willing is Dolan to let go of Isaiah and the remaining 18 million or so from his contract? I think that's why the Walsh rumor has so much credibility. It allows Isaiah to stay on as coach, but really, is that a solution? I don't think so....
