Magette an Option?

With Magette opting out soon, does anyone think the Knicks should try and offer the MLE on him? He's extremely athletic and as Coach Dunleavy said, there's not a lot of money out there. So with Magette's strained relationship with the Clippers, would it be possible that he jumps over to NY??

we can't afford him. He will draw more in the open market.

Grizzles have tons of $$$$ available. So do a few other teams.

Maggette would be a great addition to our team. is he a great shooter? no. But he gets to the line about 12 times a night, makes 10 of em, thats something valuable. Also bringing him in for free gives us the ability to move Jamal for a different position of need.

I think you guys are seriously underrating Maggette's game. He's much better than u guys give him credit for. If he opts out he'll probably get 8 mil per to start. He's still relatively young and averages 20+ ppg and 5+ reb. He is very similar to Spree minus the fire (and the headaches). Put him on the Knicks now and he instantly becomes our best player!
