What are people listening to these days? I could use some new music.

What do people think of the Mountain Goats? I think someone may have mentioned them here or in the previous indie thread.

I don't really know, man. What are you into? I don't really go out so much these days, other than to restaurants and on dates. My friends mostly go to shows at the Middle East in Central Square. Lots of people go to Faneuil Hall, but it's too crowded for me and too many drunk people. That might not be too far from where you are. There is also Lansdowne Street in Kenmore Square right behind Fenway Park with a lot of bars.

Any Minus The Bear fans in the house? They should qualify as indie.

New album coming out soon!

You have several good indie albums released the past six months :
- Joanna Newsom : Have One on Me
- Gorillaz : Plastic Beach
- Liars : Sisterworld
- Hot Chip : One Life Stand
- The Big Pink : A Brief History of Love
- Four Tet : There Is Love in You
- Beach House : Teen Dream
- Real Estate : Real Estate
- Volcano Choir : Unmap
- The XX - XX

Not released yet but Unkle's new album "Where Did the Night Fall" is pretty good. Same for the National's "High Violet" (both to be released next month).

Has anyone listened to Year of the Black Rainbow yet? I wasn't that big of a fan of No World for Tomorrow, but the previous stuff was good. I'm probably going to get around to it tomorrow. It has gotten some pretty good reviews thus far.

The new MGMT is decent. Its nothing like their past dancey trash which I really disliked. More like psychedelic rock actually.
