So true, because gallo is such a bust. There are so many players picked after him who did more in their first 20 games than he has in his first two games. There's DJ Augustin and then there's Brooks Lopez, and...and...well walshed up sucks because he hired a coach who has last name is d apostrophe anthony, lol that's so funny.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Gallo a bust. but this franchise has failed to draft that franchise stud that they desperately need for over a decade now

Knicks and lottery pick just doesn't mix.

Well now that isiah's no longer giving them away like candy that just might change. Personally I think Gallo was a tremendous pick because he's got a very unique skill set to go with a great mindset and BBall IQ that'll just be money with this coach. Before him our last lotto pick was channing frye and that was isiah being a dumbass.

If walsh buys a late first I really really really want him to grab Nick Calathes. He's like a poorman's rubio with a better outside shot.

Im with you only I dont think he'll enter the draft, especially since Kentucky may not even make the tournament.

Only real shot I think we have is if we got like a late first rounder, and promised him that if he enters the draft we'll pick him with that late first ronud pick. He still might want to stay in school another year though and get possibly get picked higher in the 2010 draft (possibly). It might be enough to get him to bite though.

I agree he would be a good pick up. That dude has a sweet shot, and with the Knicks offense we'd be able to get him alot of open looks that Im sure he would know down with no problem. Also, he is a bit Reggie Millerish, and Rip Hamiltonish lol. He moves well without the ball, runs through screens, and all he really needs is a little light to get his shot off. Not the greatest player, but he is a shooting specialist in my book. He could really help us.

Dionte Christmas is also a shooting specialist who could be a very good backup 2 and can be had in the early second round.

Just what I think too. Can't believe the hype he receives as a NBA prospect. Great college player, that's it...

Now at around we sit pretty bad once again as I think the elite prospects will be gone (Griffin, Monroe, Rubio if he declares). I still see some fallback options in guys like Earl Clark who would look really good in orange and blue...

last thing this team needs is another foward ... i'd draft a guard, more in favor of a point guard.

if the knicks get the 8th pick a guy like jeff teague, willie warren, or tyreke evans would be good ... espically since it means the end of the overrated elf.

DO NOT DRAFT BY NEED! In today's NBA the traditional positions don't really exist anymore and while I see your point, if we would have a future forward rotation of Clark/Chandler/Gallinari/Lee I would be all for it. If you get a good player you will find a spot for him.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

Looking Great for 9th draft pick...Milwaukee still plays, but should win..also Indiana could surprise clippers...

Game over guys...time to go for high draft pick

Update on the first page of the thread
---------------------------------------------------------------
Well I was right...Milwaukee won, also Indiana won a close games against clippers...

Loosing to Nets and Milwaukee would seal the season.

We should key on these players that might be available when we pick 8th or 9th.

In no particular order
Jeff Teague
Brandon Jennings
Greg Monroe
BJ Mullens
Tyreke Evans
Demar Derozan

I want a PG or center, but would take a tall 2 if Walsh is very impressed with him. I think Monroe would be good in this system.

3 wins behind Nets, Bobcats and Pacers. Toronto 2 wins behind.

I think in the end NY will overtake Indiana(also depends when Granger returns). Toronto could catch up NY in the next week, but could be the first team in East to start tanking in last 2 weeks. So picking 10th looks the final result. Best case scenario 8th would be just great.

That's a pretty decent list of players that could be there at #9.

I might add Earl Clark to the list simply because he's an outstanding athlete with size & speed. He would be a nice fit in Mike's system.

Of the points I'm leaning towards Tyreke Evans BUT I really haven't seen Jennings or Teague play. Teague looks very small to me and I hear he isn't a passer.

Monroe and Mullins probably wouldn't hurt us either.

I'm thinking Evans, Mullins or Clark in this range - Curry is another thought but we need a physical presense. I don't think Monroe's coming out.

Jennings and Monroe wont last till the 9th pick. Mullens is a reach for lasting till the 9th.

Im with you with Evans. We need to draft BPA at our pick. Only good thing about Evans is he is a ball handler and get to the rim.

I truly believe Harden will sink like a rock once he hits workouts.

Again all you care about is athleticism man. Harden isnt slipping at all. People compare him to Brandon Roy, who also didnt amaze in workouts. Harden is a basketball player and a damn good one at that. No way he lasts past pick 5 at the worst.

Im hoping for Monroe, Mullins, Teague, Henderson, or Evans at our pick if available.

i dint say he would slip to us. I think he is going to slip out of the top 4 to be honest. It all depends on who declares.

Griffin, Monroe, Jennings are the top 3 prospects. We need to see who declares first but he can really slip once those workouts come around just like Brandon Roy did.

Granger to return on Friday

Good news for the tanking brigade...meaning Indiana will stay ahead of NY(he gives them additional 2-3 wins)...Now it looks 9th pick is reality, and if Toronto wins a few...8 pick hhhmmmm

Realistically we are likley to be able to draft the following at our pick

Teague, Derozan, or Mullen

I'd ideally grab Derozan and work with him the next 2 summers. The guy isnt a bum like some make him seem.

Man you are so predictable. All you like is athleticism. Derozan has been a major disappointment and should (even tho he wont) stay in school another year. Hes shooting something like 2-25 from 3 this year, and thats college 3. Hes like a poor mans Gerald Green right now because at least Green can shoot. Ill stay away from Derozan until he proves something.

Let me ask you something tho Op, what would you rank these guards who might be available at our pick?

Teague, Henderson, Evans, Warren, Jennings, Derozan?

My favorite of the bunch is Henderson right now. Looks like a very well rounded and smart SG. Teague seems like another combo guard, albeit a very good one. If he can play point he would prob be my guy, but I see too much Bayless in him (who you love but I dont). Evans kind of worries me because he isnt an efficient shooter in the Crawford mold, but hopefully he improves. Warren seems solid but not my top choice. While Jennings and Derozan are just products of athleticism and pre-season hype.

i agree with henderson, even though he may not have the max potential as the other guys have but henderson is seasoned and fits in with the team player/winning player attitude.

i'd still would take warren though.
