OT:Hasheem Thabeet

Post#1 » by NYKProspect » Thu Feb 12, 2009 2:02 am

man i just watched uconn vs Syracuse, he dominated tonight. 8 points 16 rebs and 8 blks!!!
if we have chance to draft him, i think we should unless we know were are getting a superstar with our pick.. he is such a great defender. even if he doesnt get the block he still intimidates and he is a great man to man defender and a help defender and thats the type of player we need.

If we got the number 1 pick, I wouldn't use it on anyone but Thabeet.

The guy alters more shots than he blocks. It's amazing.

So glad you aren't our GM.

There are at least 5-8 players in this draft better than Thabeet.

Not so much better, but players who can fit this system to a T better than he can. A SG, at least imo, is the ultimate goal here.

It would be just like Marcus Camby in Denver, Defensive player of the year on a team who plays no defense.

Beast but it's not even close who the real #1 pick is, Blake Griffin by a mile.

Assuming that Griffin is gone i would love to have a draft of Thabbeet in the first round and a terrence williams or danny green in the second round

I think only Griffin and Harden are better if rubio doesn't come out, that said without some major luck with ping pong balls we won't get a shot at him. He's already a dominant defender, and he's shown immense progress on offense so he won't be go to guy, but he will shut down the other teams post play and clean up the paint on offense, and once he learns to better position himself for rebounds he'll just be a force on the glass.

In the 10-20 range where we'll probably be picking I like Cole Aldrich if we look for a big.

I am glad Walsh doesn't think shotblocking is 'overrated'

Slow, low basketball IQ, no offensive game to speak of. Pass.

he's an excellent shotblocker ... that's it.

he's slow which will make him a horrible man to man defender.

He makes it down the court a full 5 seconds after his team does -- EVERY TIME!

He is slower than the Lopez twins and Hibbert combined!

I will keep passing!
