you shouldn't check any of the options under the: Advanced Tab

Also under the system tab you can check off "start menu shortcuts" and "Desktop shortcuts"

Finally, under the "Internet Explorer Tab" do not click on the "Auto complete Form History"

..That is how I have it set up. You should leave it set up with the standard form. And after you do Analize under Cleaner tab, you should click on run cleaner.....do it until you don't see any files....

Then you can click on the "registry" tab and click on "scan for issues" and then click on "fix selected issues"....and do it also till there is no more errors on the registry file.....then you should be straight....spybot is good but sometimes it leaves things behind...thats why its good to run both and unless its something alarming then you should run Combofix...for better results run this programs on safe mode.

ELM, thanks again. I'm running what you said. Spybot detected and deleted 200 virues. The only thing I get know is when I turn on my laptop, I get 3 little box pop ups, all saying RUN DLL and that it can not be run. I just X them. But that makes me worry. Hopefully this works, if not, I'll probably run spybot again, or reboot my laptop tomorrow. thanks again for your help.

ELM, alot of those files are my music, and some of my past documents from essays from school; yet where the program wants to delete them is under "recent" folder. Where I have them is in a My Documents folder. Are they 2 different things? I don't want to delete them. Still delete them? is there a way to save them, or not have the program delete them?

Do you have anything check under the Advanced Tab??? because if you do...then it is going to deleted those files...

but by the sounds of it...it sounds like now you are having a registry error (with the .dll)..if you want you can just run CCleaner and check under registry and do the entire process of "analize" and "fix selected issues"

If you want back up your data(on external Hard drive)

After you clicked "scan for issues" you should click on "fix selected issues"(the tab right next to scan for issues)...that should fix the .dll error..

if you are still getting virus or spywares then you can do the Cleaner...but this is how it is suppose to look..

This is a better view about what should be checked and shouldn't be checked...if these options are checked your personal files will not be removed.

you are better off doing it in safe mode for a better result...as some spywares and virus can run on the background when you're logged into windows..

thanks! i restarted my laptop, and those pop ups didn't come! all my programs work. it seems my internet is running slightly slower than it used to, but nothing major. Anything to fix that? if not, don't kill yourself. you did enough already. thanks man!

No problem....I'm glad it worked...

you probably should clear all of the internet files including the cache files and that should fix it....
