Rhodey's Keys to the Win

Post#1 » by RHODEY » Sat Apr 11, 2009 5:41 am

Go figure these ****. They outrebounded that big, athletic front line 49-45 and tallied 25 assist compared to the Magic's 15

They play the #3 team in the East, who are desperate for win to ensure home court thoughout the playoffs, and they turn in one of their best road games of the season. Good D and good ball movement, and Lee took on Howard like it was playoff game...like he wants to be a Knickerbocker for life. 20 points, 16 boards and 4 assists.
I assume TKF took a pass on tonight so here's my take/

Go figure these ****. After maybe the most desultory game of the season at home against the Pistons, they outrebounded that big, athletic front line 49-45 and tallied 25 assist compared to the Magic's 15

Jeffries gave us some nice energy and defensive presence, and filled up a modest but balanced stat line: 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. He's no longer an automatic botch job on the offense which IMO slightly raises his trade value....

Harrington hoisted too many shots , but he made some big ones when it counted and tallied 27 poins and 4 assists.

Chandler was a man, playing good aggressive ball, with 22 points, 8 bboards, 3 assists, and 1 steal. He made Turkolu (a player I generally like) look rather ordinary. You can see Wilson's confidence continue to grow.

Q and N8 off the bench each had 3 assists, while Huges and Wilcox had 1. All nine Knicks tallied assists--NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

Think Donnie's message got through?

Yeah I know. Too little too late....

Now let's see if we can't carry that cohesion and focus throug the final two games, damn it.

Rhodey, you forgot how SVG and JVG made all this possible...their bitterness and trash-talking made Walsh mad to the point he was threatening (with words) players about their dollars. He wanted this win; plus it was on national TV.

Like Stutter said: We won this one, because it was on national TV. Which means the win serves Walsh's plans for 2010.

p.s.: good job rhodey. :)

Chandler oozes with clutchness. Bench a bit poop, but great game and victory.

Nice "**** you" to bandwagoners.

I am on the tank brigade..but dislike SVG...so it was sweet,,,,

Nate on the bench in the end...smart move by Dantoni.....

Kidd
Chandler
Gallo
Harrington
Lee

Draft Stephon "dell" Curry and say goodbye to Nate on draft night....I think he has wore out his welcome and Dantonis "circus" comment after Nate sprayed his hair was probably the final straw....

Return to New York Knicks
