OT: Al Jefferson To Be Moved Eventually?

Post#1 » by TheBluest » Sun Nov 1, 2009 10:54 pm

Supposedly on ESPN Insider

I'd give them

Curry/Hill/Lee

4

Big Al

They get some assets assuming they'd want to retain Lee and remove future salary). Everything for us remains the same financially except now we have without a doubt 1 real stud and a low post beast to possibly attract a FA of 2010

Our Core....

SF=Chandler
PF=Gallo(assuming he ends up here)
C=Jefferson(play him here since D'AnToni prefers small)

See, why that Minny trade was never going to balance out? :)

I wouldn't mind seeing "big" Al in here...at least he will contest some of the shots and won't be a doorman on the paint.

all espn insider is, is a paid service that provides foolish people with fake trade rumors and speculation.. there is never any ground to anything that pops up on there

Ever since ESPN stopped doing just 30 minutes of highlights and sports news, and decided to do hour long sessoins with 55 minutes of "expert analysts" saying the same damn things over and over with only 5 minutes of highlights, they've been a joke in every area.

I like Al, just not for here. He seems more like a Boozer type of player that needs the slow, half-court tempo. He is an upgrade from everyone we have. But getting him might take time away from Gallo at the 4 wouldn't it?

I don't think Al Jefferson is a great fit for our team, he's a mediocre at best defender, isn't exactly fleet of foot and is more adept at creating his own offense in the paint than being a finisher. I like him as a player, but I like him as a PF in a more traditional half court, throw it into the paint offense.

If they would have drafted Mayo and kept him instead of trading it for Love and maybe drafting Blair

Al Jefferson
Mayo(got their 2008 first back)
Blair(got Boston's 2009 first)
Ratliff(expiring)
Telfair
Gomes
Gerald Green

for

:lol: Loved your response over there. Folks think TKF and KnicksGod are bad, but that thread was perhaps the dumbest thing I ever read. Ever. And by a mod no less. :rofl:

Lol and they had the nerve to say we were stupid and they expected us to give up one our bright young players and a first round pick just to move Curry and we get Cardinal? C'mon man they can't be serious. The worse part is the thread is about 3 pages and all these dudes are agreeing that the trade is absurd.

LOL wow.

That is a horrible one sided-trade for Minny.

So Minnesota gets a young player and a draft pick while the Knicks get *hope* of acquiring two free agents?
