Harris was mostly healthy last season, he would have played over 70 games if the team hadn't decided to rest him for tanking purposes late in the season. IIRC he had 11 DNP-CD in the last month and a half of the season.

I get argument that Magic can apsorbe major contract without giving back salary, however, do you really think any nba superstar will be sold for blank space and nothing but draft picks.

Combo guard, can score, can shoot, can pass. 23 years old. Much better than any current Magic guards. Fits timeline.

What are Magic even wanting? Rookie ,19 years old with 10 years experience, playmaking of Luka, agility of Morant, size of Taco Fall? Because top tear superstars in mid 20s are really going to push their way to go here, not in LAL; LAC, Warriors or any other big market team....

Simons got $25 mil per and was a RFA. Were you okay with giving him $30-35+ mil per to scare Portland away? I wouldn't be.

I think this signals they will be looking more at trade market. I feel like the Bamba and Harris contracts were built in a lab to match salaries. It’s great if a team wants them as expiring but they have the team option if they want to run it back and not waive them. 2023 FA is not strong and don’t see anyone staring me in the face. Khris Middleton would be nice but do we want to max him out for 40+ Mil starting at age 32. Only other guy is Trent Jr and don’t see Toronto screwing that up.

Brown is a FA in 2024. So just re-up Harris and Bamba to defer the spending spree!
