A key thing to remember is that there in no NBA hall of fame. Winning a gold medal in the olympics, even as Christian Laettner, counts to voters.
And let's accept these recent players as Hall of Famers: Bob Dandridge, Paul Westphal (player), Jack Sikma, Sidney Moncrief, Bobby Jones, Vlade Divac, Chuck Cooper, Carl Braun, Charlie Scott, and Dino Rađa. These are male players put in to the Hall of Fame in the last 4 years. Go back twenty years, and 50 such players can be found.
I want to pull out one name: Vlade Divac. What did he do in the NBA warranting a Hall of Fame ticket? He is a hall of fame because he has medals.
Here's another name: Chuck Cooper. Cooper has a 6.7 ppg average on only 409 total games played. He is in the Hall for breaking a barrier, not for actually being good at basketball.
Bill's and Lowry will get in to the Hall of Fame. It might take 30 years. But they are actually locks.
