Positively time
Bol was a big positive. He was really good and Im hopeful a game like that gives him confidence going foward. He was making some great plays on both sides of the ball
Banchero what else is there to say. He's everything I thought he could be. The scary thing is that mid range shot isn't even really falling yet. That was his bread and butter at Duke. I believe he could have a 40 point game at some point this year. The tools are there. We knew the 3 ball was gonna be a work in progress.
Wagner struggled with the 3 ball but still he does so much stuff well. We are putting him in a tough spot to run the PG and he's doing well all things considered. Obviously Im looking foward to Fultz and Suggs getting back to get him in his right role.
Cole didn't play great after the first half but there is some really good growth in his game overall. The battery has def been put in his back defensively. I saw at least 3 times where he got switched on a big and battled. One was on Randle. He's always gonna be limited defensively cause of his size but I still believe he can at least be feisty defensively. Wish he could just be a spark plug scorer but injuries make him our best ball handler at the moment.
Big picture we got a ton of injuries and guys playing out of role to make up for it. We still have been in all these games vs better teams. 3 of them on the road. We are ok

I need to add that Bamba's play is killing this team. He must get better or discover the joys of being a bench cheerleader.
..
When Mo Wagner is back, he is probably out of the rotation.

Okeke's the weak link. I don't even want to pick up his team option at the end of the year. Can't hit a wide open shot. We got more output out of Blitzdakis.

The team is young and injured. However, there are many guys on the bench that probably aren’t legitimate rotation players in the league. Okeke, Bamba, and Hampton are very suspect so far.
Their draft record is still a huge negative as of now:
Isaac
Iwundu
Mo Bamba
Melvin Frazier
Jarred Vanderbilt
Chuma Okeke
2020 frp throw in trade of stud Maxey for broken Fultz.
So their first few drafts produced absolutely nothing. Not only that, but they kept Hennigan’s core for years after everyone knew it didn’t work.
Franz is good, Suggs has a role, Paolo obviously. It can’t be overlooked that they didn’t produce any legitimate rotation guys in their first few years as a front office. They don’t get a pass for that. Not one player.
The only trade they’ve “won” is Vucevic. We still need to see who Denver’s 2025 frp turns out to be. Likely a career injured guy that never suits up judging from their draft history.
I’m tired of waiting on guys that happen to be “injured” for the majority of their short careers. I don’t want them on the roster. Yes, that means Fultz and Isaac. I don’t care what anyone says. Both of them are less useful than Okeke. Why? Because they don’t play basketball.
The very best thing about Jeff Weltman is that he's not Rob Hennigan.

While true, Hennigan did draft Oladipo in year 2, Aaron Gordon in year 3, and should have kept Sabonis in year 5. These guys all play real minutes still.
Weltman and Hammond didn’t draft a real rotational guy in their first 3 years in the current front office. Sure, I’d still rather have them than Hennigan, but compared to what exactly?
We know why they punt the second round picks every season. They are **** at evaluating talent.

Cole has the makings of a great sixth man if he accepts a bench role. As a starting point guard, I don't think he's selfish, but he doesn't necessarily make his teammates better. But he's a legit scorer at this level and if he keeps competing the way he is with energy can be a real sparkplug.

Welt doesn’t get enough credit for the players he’s re-signed to keep this core together — Isaac ($17 mil), Fultz ($16 mil), Bamba ($10 mil), Harris ($13 mil). That’s a mere $56 million investment in…oh wait…
