I work on a ton of Disney media.

I can’t stand them as a company for a number of reasons. I won’t get into why on this platform and can’t.

The sponsorship makes sense. Still not a fan of jersey sponsorships in general.

This is about as laughable as it gets. I'm not a 'everything is racist' guy AT ALL. But 'I don't think all that many people are actually racist' is funny as hell to me. I've been called racial slurs by people of my own race for being a bit darker skinned

Ignorance and racism goes hand-in-hand. And there is A LOT of ignorance in this world.

I just refuse to belive majority of the people are bad in their core.

I think majority of people don't give a damn about other people tho, i think we are just very prone to be superficial, shallow and put things and other people in boxes as part of life as experirence. We like to assume things. And sometimes it's very harmful. You can say ignorant i guess.

That being said, i think people are more of a tribal animals than they like to admit.
Outside factors such is race, height, weight much like internal feature such as common interests, goals & career choices keep groups of people together but also keep people who don't share that features outside of their friend circles.

This is probably best viewed through interracial marriages. Only 8% of marriages are interracial is US. It's not like they don't hook up way more often, it's more superficial reasons why they don't get married. One of them probably beling " finding somebody more similar to me" , regardless how dumb it is.

In Europe over last 50 years there has been massive blend of cultures and nationalities. Generations of kids born in 50s , in Eastern Europe fled to western countries ( mostly due political reasons) , mainly Germany. And ofc, that was very common thing for people from my country as well. But than one very interesting thing happend. Despite fact they went to live in country of 50 million people, vast majority of them found and married people from same countries as them. This is not coincidence and it repeated itself often. And that's pretty much backbone of my argument that people just have pattern of tribal behavior. They prefer comfort zone, something common, or somebody similar to them. Not because they are racist ( since historically majority of Europe is white) they find people from similar or same countries as them and marry them because other big factors play in:
similar culture
similar language
similar upbring
similar life goals as direct result of similar upbring

If you put 30 years old person from China ,30 years old person from Finland, Uganda and Canda those people would never connect over anything because everything about them is different. Not skin color, it's least important factor , rather society and set of outside factors that molded them as people.

I think calling somebody racist is just running away from serious conversation. I find that argument as dumb as 10 years old calling other 10 years old- dumb. It's so overused , so politicized that it no longer means what should mean. Person who hates somebody because and only because of certain skin color. Now it's political buzzword to deflect & avoid conversation ( imo).

Eh, you just don't care about the new stuff they make. For example since 2013 we've had Frozen, Big Hero 6, Inside Out, Zootopia, Moana, Coco, Soul, Raya and the Last Dragon and Encanto. All pretty good movies IMO.

Edit: Looked back further and it was Wreck-it-Ralph and Brave in 2012.

As a parent I have seen all these movies and it is incredible story telling and often songwriting. It's why every year disney litters the academy award nominations. Encanto and Soul are amazing movies, and also the two most recent oscar winners. Coco, Zootopia, inside out, won before that, again all amazing characters and great life lessons for kids.

Maybe some of the people on this board should watch some of these movies as it may present an opportunity to grow.

What on earth happened in this thread? Hell of a ride that is for sure.

To clarify, I have skim read while at work, and after reading something about a penis on a sandcastle.... I'm confused.

Wait…. does that mean posters finally recognize me? For better or worse, am I a known contributor after 10 years? And all it took was an overreaction on Paolo to get me here? Nicccceee.

Yes I hate Disney, obviously. They make Penis Castles (sorry SOUL, I respect your post for going into detail, but that’s a giant Dong and everyone knows it).
