Start: WCJ
Bench: Suggs
Cut: Fultz

This would make for an interesting DCM should we cycle through most three player combinations.

Came into this thread expecting the options to be Suggs, Cole, and Fultz.

It’s really turning into that kind of season with these posts.

Carter must start. He is the only capable Center on this team. I agree that Fultz and Suggs cannot co-exist in the starting backcourt. This is exactly the Oladipo and Fournier choice the Magic had to contend with previously. Then the view was that both were as productive and that Fournier would be cheaper. Based on that logic the Magic should keep Fultz (locked in to a palatable deal) and "cut" Suggs - by trading him. The start/bench/cut narrative thus has Anthony starting. ouch!

This is far more relevant to a three-way choice!

Here I start Fultz, bench Anthony, and cut (trade) Suggs. This is not what I actually would do, but just to play out the game.

How the thread should have been.

Start : Suggs
Bench: Cole
Cut/Trade: Fultz

Obviously you start WCJ. There is no other alternative if you desire to win basketball games. Why would you cut a player a handful of games into his second season in the nba on a rookie deal? I’d trade Fultz yesterday because of his contract and that he provides close to nothing.

I was expecting all the same position but the answer is you cut Fultz regardless.

Cut Cole! There is no other answer than to cut Cole. This team does not need a PG that prefers to chuck up shots. He looks good now because they are going in, but lets not forget hes a career 39% shooter.
