yeah, can we finally agree he is a bit of a bust?

yes, not every 1st round pick hits, but his pre-draft scouting report talked about him being a good shooter from deep, playmaker, good defender, decent scorer off the dribble.

I havent seen much of any of that.

His shot mechanics looked better his rookie year. It looks pretty broke now.

He completely overhauled his shot from his time at Auburn to now and it just did not work at all.

He takes his guide hand off the ball sooner than any other player in the league that I regularly watch.

I'm probably the biggest Chuma supporter on this board and there was a point towards the end of last season that he had so many 3s that were so close to going in that it looked like a matter of time till they started falling. He's got a lot of bricks this year. Still love his play and his defense but I'm not sure what's up with his shot. To me his defense and hustle is still far more valuable than many others on the roster so I won't call him a bust. Even if he doesn't score he contributes to the team even if it doesn't show up in the box score.

With Okeke now on G League assignment, perhaps he will return to some injury minutes like Isaac got.

Any new news here on him suiting up for Lakeland?

he's one more intriguing mystery for ORL...I really hope he goes for 40 & 8 in Lakeland and blasts his way back into the picture as the heady, versatile, 3&D glue guy we could really use in our rotation...but I'm, sadly, not holding my breath.

I like him. He was pretty key to a few wins when we were miserable to start the season while Paolo was out.
