2. Mosley realized that playing Fultz and Banchero together without shooters is a bad idea. Well done Jamal, only took you 50+ games to get it.
3. In theory WCJ is perfect next to Wagner and Banchero but i am starting to feel deep down he is a loser. Cant keep his composure, loses focus, acts like he is 5 with emotions getting the best of him sometimes. I wrote it some time ago, but maybe Wagner/Banchero/Isaac is the way to go next season. Its scary to depend on JI health though.
4. Indiana glued to our only shooters. Gary missed some open ones, but also he didnt have much space most of the game, and there were no actions to get him open. Its hard to score when your pg cant create open look for anyone, and there are no actions drawn for you. Still not a good game offensively but he locked Hield for most of the game.
5. Bol is scared to shoot and has zero awareness.
6. Someone needs to teach Paolo how a quality possesion looks. We have coaching staff ?
1. Fultz is an athlete that happens to play basketball. Haliburton is a point guard.
2. Congrats to Mosely. Now he just has to figure out that switching defense on the perimeter against shooters doesn’t work and maybe let these guys know to stop going under screens for the millionth time.
3. For everything I like about WCJ, I just wish rim protection was on that list. I don’t think he’s a loser. I just wish I could trade his willingness to shoot 3’s for rim protection and more rebounding. In simple terms : Do more Center things that Centers do.
4. Indiana is the bizzaro version of Orlando. The Magic need to draft some shooters. They won’t win many games based on Math alone.
5. Bol went from “must keep”. To “must sell high” pretty quickly in my books. His iQ is very limited on both sides of the court. But he is entertaining to watch sometimes.
6. Paolo gets a pass because he’s a rookie and will win rookie of the year. But yeah, I have yet to see something drawn up for him. It seems like what I saw when he was at Duke : give him the ball and get out of his way. That’s just not going to work in the nba. I don’t care how well it’s worked for him up to this point in his career. He needs to have plays run for him instead of sizing dudes up on the perimeter because he feels “comfortable”.
