Does it end up rolling over? or does it become second rounders or something
Wasnt a rhetorical question, i havent looked so i really have no idea

2023 first round draft pick to Orlando
Chicago's 1st round pick to Orlando protected for selections 1-4 in 2023 and 1-3 in 2024; if Chicago has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Orlando by 2024, then Chicago will instead convey its 2026 2nd round pick and 2027 2nd round pick to Orlando [Chicago-Orlando, 3/25/2021]

For me it's Top2, otherwise I'd prefer to have 2 picks.

An obvious point is that if Chicago makes the playoffs this year or next, the pick conveys.

Frankly it might be better for Orlando if the pick does not convey this year AND does convey next year. Orlando will need bench depth when there is a set roster. Delaying this by a year would be great.

But I am greedy and this pick looks a lot like it will be at #9 this year. I want that.

I am not going to be ok with losing it no matter where we pick. 1 and 6 please.

I have heard people say GG Jackson was the #1 prospect in 2024 draft before he reclassified into this one. I am not sure he's a top 20 guy in this draft.

Frankly, the Bulls are one good decision away from completely blowing this team up. There is no reason they shouldn't have done it at this deadline...well, i guess there is one reason, a complete admission of failure by their GM. The point is it may not convey next year either, and then it's a couple of near worthless 2nds.

Orlando fans need to be pulling for OKC, Portland, Indiana and Washington to lose more games.

Those 5 teams are all extremely close in the rankings.

Losing the Bulls pick would definitely suck.

Obviously want to get the pick this year or if not have it convey in 2024, but if it didn't convey I would still be able to look at the trade with gleeful satisfaction due to getting Franz and Dell.

Yah it's tough to know whether to cheer for Chicago losses or victories. Better pick (for Magic) or worse odds of Chicago keeping it. As long as the Bulls don't beat the Magic in the race toward the bottom.

Don't have to worry about that :) I kind of want the bulls to win a few more games and stay around the 8-10 mark. If they get to 6 I will start to worry.

For me, the draft after pick 3 is an even playing field until pick 12. Therefore, I’d rather they win more games or those others lose.

Getting Gradey Dick with their pick is better than getting nothing.

That's the way I felt earlier in the season, but at this point there are like 5 guys i feel good about in this draft. And then lots of guys that have some serious fleas that may or may not turn out, Hopefully the Magic FO agree with you and have a bunch of guys they like...nothing worse than them just taking BPA
