He is rotation guard, and in this moment in time probably best used off bench until and if he develops into something more. Franz and Paolo are too far gone into their production & development to waste several years on Suggs trying to figure what he is. He will have to do it on a fly.

Carter had phenomenal game btw.

I think Suggs can reach avg 3 PT% (35-36%) within the next couple yrs, but the decision making/ball handling is what I'm more worried about translating.

Which is why I think it's more likely he ends up a starting SG, who guards whoever the best offensive guard is on the opposing team opposed to a PG.

I don't see this as a Fultz circumstance where he holds back our team on waiting for him to develop if he plays SG. He's shooting 31.6% from 3, which is alot better than the previous yr and he isn't unwilling to shoot unlike Fultz. The form doesn't look broken either

Anthony Edwards on 11/30
Alex Caruso on 1/19
Jalen Suggs on 2/11
Jalen Suggs on 3/11

So Suggs is the first guard to do that since... himself a month ago.

Actually crazy as a non-starter that is getting less than 30mpg.

Suggs does deserve a lot of credit for what he can do on the floor. I just don't see THE credit the forum is gushing over him for.

May we both share the irony for a second that a guard we have makes 3's and suddenly he is the savior while we have advocated for that out of our guards the entire season?

People are just impatient. Suggs has gotten better as he’s gotten playing time without injuries.

One thing that we know for sure is that Suggs shouldn’t be traded whatsoever. He’s part of the core imo regardless of if he is starting or not.

And he still has not played 82 games in NBA, he is like a rookie

Only 21, he is our jrue/Smart player, perfect player next to Franz, WCJ and Paolo.

he's been putting up relatively decent numbers when he gets playing time.
10 games when he played 30+ minutes:
14.6ppg-4rpg-5.9apg on 52.6 TS%. Still high TO, but overall not bad given his defense and inexperience.

I would rather Alex Caruso was this teams starting lead guard over either Fultz or Suggs. Man are his talents being wasted by Chicago,

Fultz- Suggs- Cole is silly debate for starting spot.
Magic have all 3 and still have awful rotation at guard position.

We can argue who is least useful, and who has better projection going forward, but in order for *team* to improve, Magic need to add player who today, isn't on their roster.

i dont get the reason of saying he has only played less than 82 games ****, thats why he is struggling.

Dude has had two NBA offseasons already.

And as an NBA player, you have to learn on the fly. That’s how great players do it. They adjust and adapt and learn quick.
