Wasn't a good game by Paolo, but I get the impression his on court demeanor has improved a lot. Like the way he was just running back after bad shots, questionable non call, loose handles turnovers... noticed the last couple of games he is way less complaining, head shaking, aimlessly trotting back than the majority of the season.
It may be much more worth than a bad game statwise.

Thought exactly the same thing. His application was much better.

He is playing well since the start of 2023 - well as in "average starter" not an all star.
I think Fultz is in the toughest spot for the fans to be - he is neither bum, nor a (future) star, and for the most people there is no middle ground between them. Considering he is is an expiring contract, imo currently he is an positive asset for us, at least till we start talking about extension.

Being $25m+ on his next deal should be a tipping point on that discussion.

i cant imagine anyone in the league giving him that kind of money, unless there is a steep increase in some of his stats.

This front office already gave him $17m before knowing whether or not he was capable of staying healthy.

He signed the extension before getting hurt, after playing a full season here and they paid him for the supposed potential a №1 pick has, still it was a heavily protected contract, that right now allows us to cut him.
As he look more and more like the finished article i hope they are not contemplating paying so much for his current version. If the fornt office wants to keep him, i imagine a proposal similar to the one WCJ got.

I would hope you are right.

However, this front offices history says otherwise.

We were in a position where our salary didnt really mattered, thats why we extended both JI and Fultz. Now its different. Time is ticking on Wagner and Banchero rookie deals. We are propalby last time high in the lottery.
I think rumors about FVV are true and show our feelings towards Fultz.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I told you guys Fultz is better than the current Westbrook. :)

Clippers without Kawhi are pretty mediocre, but still a solid win. Carter was fantastic, Fultz scored very well and actually got to the line for a change, bench was crucial, defense was solid throughout. Franz with another really good game and a huge dagger 3. Kevon with a solid performance from the bench.

IIRC we gave them the extensions just before the start of the 2020/2021, before we traded away Vuc, AG and Fournier, when the front office was still trying to make the playoffs again and our payroll was pretty high. So they weren't just trying to reach the salary floor with that.

I still think the right move would be to trade Fultz this summer now that his trade value has improved.

Glad-half empty stat: 2-6 and 8 points. That's what G-Harris and Houston combined for.

This 4-on-5 ball is getting old. There is a shooting guard slot to be played!

12.7% usage

I didn't think we paid Harris $13 million to use possessions almost half as often as an average player.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I suspect most people would say no, but I'd be interested. Especially if all it took primarily was matching money.

People on this board should value Wendell more.

My only concern with WCJ is health. I’m cool if he averages 60 regular season games as long as he can be there in the playoffs when we need him.

I believe our biggest need is another back up big who can start when WCJ is out or needs rest. We go down hill when WCJ is off the court.

Also Kevon Harris gave us fantastic effort. He can do a lil bit of everything. Hope WeHam brings him back next year.
