I don't see him creating alot against set defenses and having a good volume of success like Simons or Herro did before getting paid. His overall body of work is just not as good.

Simons got paid prematurely too...I was shocked at that $25m per deal. But, man, can that guy shoot. He's well worth it and I DO believe it's transferable and maybe even a lot more in his bag...he's an elite athlete at the same time and still very very young. I think people sometimes forget how young some of these proven vets are...Simons, Poole, WCJ have all done some serious work and are only a few years older than some college kids.

The important question for Reaves has always been, " Will he get the same calls as he gets with the Lakers in another team? " I mean, I saw calls where Harden was probably shaking his head.

I don't see his feel for PnR game just going away when he changes teams and he is a good shooter. I would give him something unmatchable to be honest.

He's a solid player, but let someone else grossly overpay him. I don't see why we should.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I was on the bandwagon when he was killing us in the regular season and many here were calling him ‘another scrub/magic killer’ but he’s going to get vastly overpaid now. That said, someone needs to sign him to a huge contract to force LAL to match.

No. Well, yes, if they do a double S&T of DLo for Kyrie.

If they want to sign Kyrie outright, no. They'd have to pick 1 of Rui or Reaves then pray Kyrie takes a paycut.

Let’s have the draft first. I imagine whoever we pick people will want to see them get maximum minutes, and we’re all probably hoping/expecting them to at least match Reaves’ production within their rookie contract. If it pays off we get the same for a fraction of the price. If it doesn’t, we chase the next Austin Reaves in free agency.

They don't have the cap space to sign Kyrie regardless.

The maximum amount of cap space they can free up is about $36M, far less than Kyrie's max.

I think Kyrie has already agreed to re-sign with the Mavs.

He could be really interesting for Orlando.

Is a pretty capable pnr initiator and decent passer as well as being a perfectly decent off-ball guy. You maybe play him with Suggs and you don't need either to be a pure PG, but they split the duties. It could work.
