JHS is very interesting.

The stats are brutal and he's not a top tier athlete, which would be enough for a lot of evaluators to just wipe him off the board. But he's very crafty and can do a tremendous amount, with above average vision. It's a gamble for sure, but could be a worthwhile one.

Dinwiddie would not be good for our locker room. Pass.

For me, if we keep 11, three guys stand out to me:
Bobi Klintman
Hawkins
Lively

I see way too much inconsistency from Kobe and Keyonte.
Gradey I see way too many athleticism problems. I’m staying away.

I believe he’s about to have another leg procedure. I think we stay away seeing how Chuma has not panned out for us.

Weltman would be fired if he took Klintman at 11.

He is a second round pick

He’s rising. Don’t be shocked if by June 22nd he’s in the lottery.

May be in the 20's of the first round but no way he will be in the lottery.

You say Gradey has too many athleticism problems but then you want Hawkins who also is not the best athlete.

I originally voted for Hawkins, but the more I think about it, as long as we don’t take Hendricks with #6 I think we go with Lively here. He has a translatable NBA skill, which is not always true at 11, so we take a talent big swing at #6 and then use #11 for a key need. Lively has All Defense potential and will contribute in year 1. And he has offensive upside as a rim runner. He is what we hope Bamba would be.

There is no player outside Wembanyama that starts opening night for Orlando. Now, a #6 might start at some point in the rookie season, and certainly needs to be a player deemed a future starter, but the reality is that the Magic's two FRPs are to be used for bench depth in the short term.

..

You must love you some Garry Harris. That's where we differ.

There is no gosh darn way in heck the Magic should retain G-Harris. He was at a pathetic 12 games where he scored in double figures, which is compared to 13 games he scored 5 or less points.

Not only did G-Harris sport 10 games where he made zero or one FGs, he had a PER of 10.

G-Harris starting at SG is a travesty.

But the next SG starting on opening night will not be a rookie.
Coach Mosley will try to win every game, including game-1.

The Magic should definitely look for a potential starter at 6... which is why it makes zero sense to draft another forward there. You can't start three forwards. And no, Franz is not a shooting guard. I think some of you only want Hendricks because of where he went to school. If we actually draft him, I hope you enjoy seeing him warm benches, because he plays the same position as our best player.

I personally don't see the need of a starter at 6 especially since qe have our 2 studs already.

I also think the reason so many like Hendricks ( including me) is that he has the potential to be a 3pt shooting Isaac. That's what we kinda need to spell our or play alongside our key pieces.

I agree.
Isaac without injuries.
Hendricks also has the body to bulk up, in certain smallball lineups he can play center.

His 3ball and shotblocking are enticing.

bulk-up as well as our old-time fave of gaining 1-2 inches in the offseason. Pretty soon we will be saying Hendricks is 6'11.
