So yes, Orlando is a free agent destination. Every time we’ve had cap room and desired to do so we’ve landed the biggest name on the market.

other than grant hill which lead to tmac signing, who else did we sign that deserved the max without overpaying?

Here’s what you said: “other than grant hill which lead to tmac signing, who else did we sign that deserved the max without overpaying?”
That’s what I answered. This is different from what you keep saying you said. Interesting that you focused on Hedo, but not Horace Grant who I also named. He was the number one free agent when he signed with us.

yes, that’s true. Hottest names in FA deserves the max salary. So i asked who have we signed other than that year we tried to form a super team.

you answered Horace Grant, Hedo and Rashard. They deserved the max at the time they were signed? Lol

Horace Grant was in the same class as Ron Harper.

Orlando is a nice place, but you don’t have to play for the Magic to live in Orlando.

Agree to disagree, but I certainly hope the Magic live up to be a prime FA destination next year when we have tons of cap space.

This seems to be a very common problem with this forum (among other things.) How did y'all even pick a team? Put on a blindfold and throw a dart at a pride flag?

Is that how you did it? Haha

T Mac was easy since he grew up in Polk County and wasn't a superstar yet, once he was though he left. G Hill saw $$$$ so he came too but also took off.

Best Magic free agents ever are #1 T-Mac followed by Hedo then after that it doesn't matter so the end.

Rashard was THE missing piece and the top FA of that summer. Magic don’t go to the finals without him altering his own game and the PF position to the shape it still is today. He was a star in Seattle and he took a back seat to Dwight and defended up against conventional bigger 4’s. Regardless of what we paid, it was a great get that worked out very well.
